Verizon was not the only carrier to receive the iPhone during mid-cycle. Plus, it's not like the rest of the world is going to wait just because of one carrier.
This was a smart move by Apple. Many people on Verizon are going to buy the iPhone now, and plenty will upgrade a few months later as well.

Honestly, i doubt there is any point on releasing a white iPhone 4. If anything, they'll release it due to Apple's huge ego.
But there definitely will be an iPhone 5 announced in 3 months.
Think about it, if iPhone 4 has to become the new "3GS", then they better come out with a white one sooner or later. But that doesn't affect the much better iPhone 5.
Then its not going to happen. I swear some people have absolutely zero business sense. Come out with a white iPhone 4 or a iPhone 5 that will sell 50 times more. Hmmmm which shall we choose?

I agree with the fact that a white iPhone 4 this late pushes the chance of a full sized iPhone 5 back a bit - also with all the features of iPhone 4 what improvements can they make that are going to be big and bold enough?
What about this: white iPhone 4 in April/May, iPhone 5 in July but it will be known by another name - iPhone Mini
Then we have the full sized iPhone 4 sold along side the iPhone 5 (aka iPhone 4 mini). I'd like that.

It makes sense because a lot of American's are pretty clueless to other Country's outside the U.S. I'm from Canada. It's part of North America if you weren't sure.. anyways, none of us here care that you guys got the iPhone on Verizon. We've had the iPhone on about 4-5 carriers (Not positive on the exact number) Since launch. I do believe the iPhone 5 will be delayed though. I have a feeling it won't be till around late July/August when it's launched. Mainly because the iPhone 4 is still selling like crazy and they have not completely tapped out the market. So if they release a new iPhone too early, people will stop purchasing the old one. They will lose a lot of sales like this. I know in Toronto (About a month ago) you could not find an iPhone 4 in any Rogers location in all of Toronto. (The biggest city in Canada if you don't know where Toronto is...)
But I do believe one will be coming.
It's a US carrier that just got the phone a few months ago, but people somehow think that the entire iPhone roadmap is going to change around them.
Also, there's no real certainty that the sun will rise tomorrow, but years of experience have shown us that it most likely will.
