 My that's a lot of tax. No wonder you guys want to come down here to get your stuff:p

Oh, I'm from Norway where it's currently 24% tax (forget if they raised it to 25%) so being in Canada makes it seem like everything is dirt cheap. And let's not even get started when I go down to the US... I mean, they're almost giving away things for free in comparison

Then again, the Norwegian State is currently giving me tons of money in loans and scholarships to study (abroad even!), and I don't have to worry if I get sick, unemployed or unable to work for some reason. So think I'll indirectly finance that in little tiny bits any day...

Sorry to gravedig, but I thought I'd post for those who participated in this discussion.

OS X Leopard is on sale in both CDN and US online stores at the same price - $129. It's not parity across the board, but it's a start. Maybe we'll see hardware adjusted for the stronger CDN dollar in the next month or so, with the xmas rush coming so soon.

Canadian Student discount in US

Does anybody know if an apple store in the US will give me the student discount price if I show my student card from a Canadian school.

I am planning a trip to the states anyways, so I am thinking of getting a macbook while there. Just wondering if I can save a little more.
