I think so too, since M1 Pro is already with faster new type of ram, unlike original M1 was but gained that in M2. So M2 Pro would be mostly some improvement in core as M2 has and higher clock rate, so more heat. Maybe more cores = again more heat. I could be wrong but I believe M2 Pro is less upgrade to M1 Pro than M2 was for M1. This speculation of course apply assuming M2 Pro is still 5nm, surely 3nm will be a huge improvement.if they do this year it will likely be 5nm+ like the vanilla m2, and if thats the case i wouldn't wait around since the m2 performance over m1 isn't that big of a increase, if they come out next year it will likely be a 3nm and that would be a pretty big jump in performance.
the word from anandtech is that 3nm won't actually be ready at least til 2023.I think so too, since M1 Pro is already with faster new type of ram, unlike original M1 was but gained that in M2.
