Has anyone gotten any word on whether or not AppleCare+ will cover burn in? If so, it’s certainly with the cost! Is anyone insuring 3rd party?

if it's proven to be as such I see no reason why not. would be seen as a screen defect.

You can accidentally drop the iPad and break the screen to make sure.

Is it covered for iPhones? They've had OLED screens since the X. I don't think that it's a very common issue anyway, even with years of use.
