I really don't understand this. It would probably take only a day or two of one person's time to add this to the bluetooth stack, and I can't see any downside to it. What possible objection could Apple have to skipping or repeating a track?

Clearly Steve doesn't listen to music on BT headphones. I guarantee they'd fix this in a heartbeat if he did!

Jaybird has recently released a new application for iPhone that enables music track controls for iPhone. It's called JayBird BluTrax!, it's not a jail break app so it's above board, and it's available on the app store. There is a Youtube demo you can check out b4 getting it too.

I'm really bummed about not having AVRCP track skip as well.
I think everyone who reads this should put in a complaint to Apple at the web address below. If they get enough complaints about AVRCP with an additional note specifically about "track skipping", perhaps they'll do something and add it in a future update.
