All,

I'm selling my old MacBook Pro (Upgraded to an rMBP, YEAH!) and I've just used CMD R to reinstall OS X, and I noticed that I had to enter my password on startup. Please reassure me that on first boot the new user will not be able to use my Apple ID on the Mac App store and go nuts with my card.

Joe.

Did you erase the partition first? If you do the install on an empty partition, it should go into the OS X setup on startup.

It sounds like you did an install over an existing one, which would preserve your passwords, settings, apps, etc.

Uh oh. I thought I did a fresh install. Time to open the box and check.
