That huge camera bump is a no for me. I would much rather have flush cameras or camera and less quality camera. If I want to taker serious photos then I use a real camera.

and the weight...uggg its a no no for me, i generally carry my iphone on my shirt bag.

In 2025 512GB ought to be the minimum. Thinking 256GB is acceptable on the pro can only be down to emgetting brow beaten by Apple for years and told storage is expensive. Storage costs peanuts in 2025, and we should expect more.
That and increasing the measly 5Gb iCloud storage to.. say... 10Gb.

Call BS where appropriate.

Apple expects a $1 billion impact from tariffs next quarter. Company wide. A $50 iPhone price increase is roughly $3 billion in additional revenue. Probably more since it’s the 4th quarter. So yeah, Apple can go scratch. And Macrumors can stop making excuses for them.

Look at competitors phones, almost all have some sort of bump due to the camera/lens.

They will always improve camera, so doubt we with get a "flat" phone. Roughly 93% of all pictures that are taken worldwide were taken by smartphones. The old saying, the best camera is the one you have with you.

can we finally have reasonable upgrade prices for iPhones and MacBooks?

paying $200 to go from 256gb to 512gb on a Pro Max is absolute insanity when 1tb 7000mb/s ssds go for $60-$80 on the regular now.

i know apple got this set up on purpose and their data people have optimized this for the most amount of profit but still

For me, I need at least a 1TB model. That’s what my current iPhone 15 Pro model is, and I’m currently using around 600GB. A 2TB model would be nice to have just in case, as I plan on upgrading and then holding onto it for as long as possible.

It is one thing that lends it self to a more pro device. Never said storage was the only thing that made something "pro," come on now.
Isn’t what determines the “pro” of a device who uses it and how more than what it is? Could not a professional buy the appropriate amount of storage needed to do their work? What amount of storage would be appropriate for a professional? Why is your opinion the correct one?

I’m a professional and the base iPhone Pros have always been sufficient for my work. Sure, I’d like more storage space but I cloud sync data and can always plug in external storage if needed.

256 GB of storage for the base model would be perfect - would go along with what the iPad Pro currently starts at (256gb as well)

A $50 price increase would be the first time that it would be only $50 - as in the past price increases, have always been at least $100 as far as I’m aware of - so $50 would be much better than what it previously has been (in years past)
Agree - no reason not to start at 256 GB in 2025.

So you are mad they are making the base model have a higher storage? That is the hill you are dying on? I am sorry you got offended because I said the pro line should act like a pro and higher storage would help with that... not to mention the cloud isn't always reliable and more base storage would make your external storage not needed. But maybe you like carrying multiple things around everywhere you go?

No, why would I be?

Not a problem for me. It might be for others. In that case, they can decide how much storage they need internally.

You didn’t answer my questions about how much storage would make it “pro” and why that level is the correct “pro” level. All of this also begs the question about what a “pro” device is and who is a professional. I’m a professional but am not the same professional as you (assuming you are) or most other professionals.

I’d love for Apple to include more storage but I’m also not offended when Apple doesn’t. They don’t owe me anything.

If iPhones stop meeting my needs, I’ll stop buying them.

Most probably the smaller Pro should get 256GB as the base storage and an increase in price by $50, i.e, the base Pro model will have a price of $1149. Think the price of the lineup will be $799/$849 for the base model, $999 for Air/Slim, the smaller Pro at $1149(for 256GB) and finally the Pro Max at $1249

Ridiculous. The base models should have 1 TB or include a MicroSD slot.
With a $50 increase I bet they'd still make a decent profit even if they included 1TB. Storage costs nothing nowadays, especially in the quantities that Apple buys it.

They should have bumped up the storage to 256GB at the same price, but they always want a little more. And many Apple users seem to be in full favour of paying more, so why not? Should have upped it by $200, people would still pay.

It probably will start with 256GB of storage, but if there’s a $50 price jump, it’s more likely $50 more than the current 256 GB model (not the 128GB model). Apple isn’t in the business of more for less.

Wild Apple thinks they can get away with charging $999 for a middle of the road phone (but they can because the 🐑 will buy it) and use that to push the prices of the pro line higher.
