But, choose the watch you want and don't settle for anything other than it, because you will be wearing it everyday on your wrist and interacting with it a lot more than your phone.
That's almost exactly what my 10 year old daughter told me when she heard my husband and I discussing whether or not I should downgrade from my first choice of SS and go with the Sport because of reports of lag and it being a first generation. Though I did also have qualms about the bulk/heft of the SS on my narrow wrists. My husband thinks I should go with the least costly option but he's leaving the choice to me. He's offered to pay but I have my own money to cover the bulk of the cost so his opinion isn't a factor. I'm just undecided.

I still don't know which one I'm preordering. It doesn't help I'm punchy being up past my bedtime with all of this last minute pondering.

I do hope we can get my sister-in-law's pink sport delivered close to launch day because it's her birthday present and her birthday is just a couple of days after launch day. After that we aren't terribly picky about the delivery dates for our own picks.

There's supposedly lag with 3rd party apps, but I think the Watch is going to be great. I'm going SS 42 Milanese Loop because I think it will be worth it, and a software update could quickly fix the lag.

I'm wondering the same thing. From what it seems like though, you will need to pay when you pre-order

Yeah, but I'd rather pay for the pre-order also (and try to reserve one for store pick up). Basically if the Watch seems like it will make it on time, I can easily cancel the store pickup. Similarly, if bad shipping dates are given from the start, I could cancel the pre-order.

I don't mind pre-paying because you can always cancel either.

Yeah I was reading that, too. I'm really torn. I genuinely like both. I think the matte aluminum finish looks slick but I like the crown on the SS watch and it just looks more versatile all around and not just for active times. Decisions decisions. I wasn't originally considering the Milanese loop but I work too often around water to consider leather right now. For comfort and water resistance that leaves Sport band or Milanese loop if I decide on SS.
