Personally I don’t have a lot of need for this but I could see it being an attractive feature for people who need to markup or sign a lot of documents or graphics artists who want to work on something while out and about. It would probably be better on the Plus model and I could see Apple only making it available on the Plus as a selling point.

I realize probably nobody can answer this at the moment, but I am somewhat surprised it’s not being talked about. I also didn’t look beyond the first page of the forum, so I apologize to the “This again? Really??” people if it has been discussed.

Thanks for the links. And not railing on my lazy noob skills. ;)

I keep trying to invent reasons to get an Apple Pencil but so far haven’t convinced myself. Was thinking usable on more devices might push me more towards getting one. Was making a little squiggle in the Notes app yesterday with my finger and thought maybe the Apple Pencil would produce a more PRO looking squiggle.

Would love to use an Apple Pencil with my phone, maybe a little smaller and invent a case or something to carry it. I wouldn't want to lose a 100$ 'pencil'

I think which ever top of the line plus model will. Can't see the current standard size now using one 6S for example.

It would also have to tie into ios10, and I don't think anyone he's uncovered it under the hood yet?

I doubt it, but if they do allow it, it will be only on the top of the line model. If they come out with a "Pro" model it will be the one that will utilize the pencil.

I would personally like that and would use it, especially for note taking.

The Apple Pencil would be far to big for the iPhone at the moment. Unless they announce a smaller version? But would they really want to risk copying Samsung and their Note range?

This is actually one of the things that makes me want to get a Note 7 if the 7+ doesn't offer pencil support.
I'm learning to draw/paint and love sketching on the go but my iPad Pro is a bit of a chore to lug around all day (I'm in a vehicle a lot of the time).
A 7+ with Pencil support would be damn great imo, but I doubt they'll be able to combine the pencil tech and 3D Touch in this iteration of the iPhone.
