Where did you hear this? I have yet to see an official time when it goes on sale.🤷🏻♂️
They obviously have very constrained supplies. Else they would not delay the actual delivery till the end of May. There is a general chip shortage that's affecting the entire industry and Cook mentioned today that it is affecting Apple. So yes, expect the delivery dates on the new ATV to slip very quickly after launch.
Anyone have a confirmed preorder time? Not sure if I should be staying up at midnight (PDT) or waking up at 5am (PDT) to order. My 3rd generation AppleTV is sooooo ready for a replacement finally. I want it as close to launch day as possible. 
Personally I’m wondering how quickly Crutchfield is going to list it - I’ve got $200 in gift cards from them so that’s where I’ll be purchasing mine.

Delivery has already slipped. I ordered five minutes ago with delivery date 21st-27th and now they're showing 24th-28th.
Me too. But after a couple tries it worked. I'm using the app for the phone which usually is working before the web site.
Same here with the 64GB version. 32GB would have been available, though. Ended up pre-ordering the 64GB on Amazon …
it was a sh*tsh0w. Even though I updated my address it kept showing my old one, then my Apple credit wasn’t applied, not to mention they started late and kept showing me error signs. But at least I got two of them for the first ship date.
Still for the life of me cannot figure out the point of the 64GB version unless we are suddenly going to be allowed to download media
