Let's be honest here. The way Apple has handled tablets under Tim Cook has been nothing short of embarrassing.

First of all, there should be one Apple Pencil that works on ALL iPads going forward. It should've been that way to begin with, but whatever, there's nothing that can be done about that now.

Second of all, the fragmentation is ridiculous. A lot of consumers aren't the most decisive people out there. Either make the iPad 13" or 9.7" -- not both, and get rid of the mini. I don't believe I've sold one iPad Mini in the two years I've worked for AT&T. The price of the mini doesn't even make sense, as it's too expensive for what you get.

Third, the colors are downright a joke. Pink? Blue? Yellow? Just make them in black or white.

Fourth, why does the latest iPad Air (2024) have a fingerprint reader, but not Face ID? Why not just get rid of the Air, make all of the iPads into Pros, and put both Face ID and under the screen touch ID on any iPad going forward?

Now we're hearing the iPad 11 might not have AI capabilities, which is the latest tech?.... I just have to LOL.

An iPad is literally a tablet that has the capabilities of a computer. It's not supposed to be $300. Anyone who wants an iPad should expect to pay $700 or more for it.

Less AI, more FIX IPADOS. If i can’t have basic decades old OS functions then WTF do I care about AI.

I have a IPP (sucks ass), I returned the Air becuase it sucked extra hard ass. I also have a Mini, and MBPs so I have many use cases. The IPP is my biggest buyers remorse of the last 10y.

Math notes? Like are you actually ****ing kidding me? Tim Cook needs a long walk off a short dock.
I have to agree, and sympathise with your comment. Lately I’m using my iPP on iPadOS 18.1, and attached to an external monitor, and using Safari on the monitor is a mess: entering the tab selection screen and trying to open certain tabs, which appear unloaded (on a machine with 16GB of RAM), is a pain, because no matter what tab I choose, it keeps opening the last open tab. It is beyond annoying.

I use a lot the option to screen-record some content. Well, apparently it doesn’t work properly. Half of my screen recordings are stuck on the same image and only plays the audio.

I really hope iOS 19 is more focused on the iPad, if they aren’t going to change the UI, at least polish the current one so it *just works*.

It will be interesting to see what Apple does. A16 seems the most logical way to go but since they have been pushing for Apple Intelligence, I wouldn't be surprised it they jumped to the A17 Pro which would mean it would have the same chip as the iPad Mini but I'm not sure they would want to do that. We will see.
