As the rumours about 2 new iPhones are getting bigger and the 4s will start for the normal price 199 USD with a plan. What the hell will the 5 cost then?
    399 USD with a plan.

The rumored iPhone 4 S⃣ is believed to be replacing the current $99/$49 iPhone 3G S⃣ , the rumored iPhone 5 is replacing the current $199 iPhone 4.

my guess is that the 5 will cost the same as the current iPhone 4, and if there is a 4s, that will probably take the place and price point of the 3Gs instead of the current 4 doing that.

Apple can price it at 299 and 399, and still sell out the phone.

I think Apple is leaning to pricing it at 199 and 299, and the older will be 99 or less. I think Apple wants more people with the iPhone, and in order to do this they have to continue to be competitive with pricing.

Really..that's cheap man for all the allegedly awesomeness it's stuffing, come baby come!:)

    ----------

Think you;re right man...they didn't invest so much time and money to give ot away that cheap. A bigger pricetag will make it more desirable, how strange it may sound.

I have to do the same. I wasn't spending the full cost (planned on selling my iPhone 4 and pay the difference), but since it broke, I now have an Galaxy S II for the meantime until the 5 comes.

It won't cost me a dime because I'm not getting it. Just got the 4 back in December and don't have $850+ laying around to pay for early termination and actually buying the phone.

Only the original (not subsidized, at first) iPhone cost $499 (4gb)/ $599 (8gb). All of the subsequent releases have been $199/$299. They will keep this pricing structure. For subsidized iPhones, there will not be either a $250 or a $350 price point.

You gotta love Apple for that so much Wow for so Low.
I know it's still the most expensive phone but I don't care for plastics and mediocrity.

Subsidized starting @ 199 as always. What makes you think any different? There's already dROIDS out with the same if not better specs for the same pricing.

I'm betting the pricing structure will remain at 199/299. I will be getting it subsidised with a new contract, so it won't cost me as much to get.

Well, I bought it to play around with Android and see what it was all about. And as much fun as it was, I do miss the consistency and stability of iOS. The best way I can describe it is Android feels a lot like iOS way back in the 1.0/1.1 days and jailbreaking was the coolest thing around. Sure it was lots of fun customizing everything and getting it all done up, but once you're done, there's not much afterward.

I'd rather have the solid day after day operation of iOS than the "fun" of Android. In fact, my Android launcher crashes at least once a day, which really only wastes a few seconds, but it's still something I can do without.

Now I know everything I've said was about Android, not really the phone itself so I'll do that now. The S2 is an awesome phone. For me, maybe a tad bit too big, I think a 4" Screen is the perfect size. Comparing it to the iPhone 4, I loved the contrast ratio of the S2 since it has the OLED display, but I did miss the resolution of the 4. The camera on the S2 is great too, but I missed the actual UI in the Camera app of iOS.

For me though, the biggest thing that made me decide to go back to the iPhone is the iPod app. One, it's hands down the best/simplest/most fluid music app. Android has nothing that competes. And the integration with my other Apple products just makes more sense to go back to iPhone.

I will be keeping the S2 just in case I want to play around again, but my daily phone will be an iPhone again.

It won't cost me, it'll cost my company. Today, as chairman, I signed a directive contract to allow senior managers, directors and Board members to receive a complementary iPhone 5 providing they follow the terms of their contractual obligations and statements including upon execution of termination in any clause :) Free iPhone :D

A lot of money, because there is no upgrade in sight. So full price for one.

If they up the price, they're idiots. That's about it really.

I think they'll make the iphone 4 cheaper and the iphone 5 will be the price of the iphone 4 now. I don't think they will change this but unlocked is probably going to stay the same.

I really hope Apple keeps their base price at $199 and makes Verizon look silly for trying to create a new standard price of flagship phones being $299 even with a contract. Greedy ****s!
