1) No, not for 399. And it's a 4" so less pixels to push around, making it less of a need in Apple's eyes.

Bending issue was with the iPhone 6 only
7000 Aluminium series came on the Apple watch for the first time, and then on iPhone 6s, it looked sleek on both

The main reasoning behind it being on the iPhone 6s, aside from it being the "latest", was that it is actually stronger and helps with the potential "bending" aspect when it comes to thinner devices like the iPhone 6/6s line of iPhones. So if it's not really about that and mostly just about the latest and looking sleeker, it seems like it's of even less impact on it all.
