I wonder if the CDMA version will always be behind the GSM version? Maybe due to the differences in technologies there will always be some underlying differences?

No. iOS 5 is the unifying build for GSM and CDMA iPhones.

There is NO excuse why 4.3 isnt on the verizon iphone. At first I thought maybe because of CDMA but its something other than that. The verizon ipad has 4.3 and thats CDMA.....what gives???

Agreed with what others have said. iOS5 will unify the two. I believe that after that they will stay on the same version, any update will be for both models.

This is just what happens when a new device is launched in the middle of an OS cycle.

What does it matter? What's the difference between the latest Verizon build and 4.3.5?

Lots of things. No iOS app restore in the AppStore or any early features of iCloud.

Yeah. I'm sure there's more, but I don't have an iPhone myself. Just know they don't have iCloud.
