I have 2 weeks vacation left this year and no plans yet. I took off the week of the apple event but also because destiny comes out the same day lol.

I'm a nurse so I work every other weekend. And I do 12 hour shifts so I have 3-4 days off per week. So I am off on the day of the keynote. While I was doing my schedule, the rumored 9/9/14 date did play a role in my requesting off, but not using vacation time or anything.

It wouldn't be my thought to take it off just for a keynote, but no judging here..since I take time off for my own geekery - video game releases.. (next one will be for the new WoW expansion....).
Lol, I did this for SC2 release. :p

Well in the UK the keynote is at 6pm, which means many people will already be at home by then.

Take a day off? No chance.

Luckily, it is at 6pm in the UK, so I will leave work in time to get home for 10 past 6 (it). So shouldn't miss any announcements.

The only other issue is that it coincides with the launch of Destiny.

I don't think any true Apple fan could allow themselves to miss out on being part of the live conversation during today's announcements. This is going to be an earth shattering event and I know I wouldn't want to be working while it all happens. This is why I say the entire world will stop today for these announcements.
