i mean the new iphone 6 is (suppose) to be waterproof and dustproof, shockproof whatever but ive always rocked a naked phone.

feels better and lighter and easier to carry around. if any base a bumper or something very simple.

Eh, been going with my 5S and no case, but that protruding camera just irks me to no end. Going to look at options and get the simplest case there is to flatten out the back

Some of us have gone without protection since 2007, I refuse to cover up something so beautiful and I prefer the way it feels in my hand with nothing on it, feels more natural.

I also don't like to use cases on my phone :p
For me it's not about beauty it's about having a device to use for my everyday work and personal activities. If I want to look at something pretty my wife is there.

I'll most likely be getting the Speck Candyshell Grip again. Worked great for my iPhone 5 and 5S and the grip saved it from falling quite a few times.

It blows my mind that people choose to cover up a great metal and glass design, with a $20 piece of plastic. Temporary usage, I get. Certain professions, I get. But at home and in office, or whichever... just take care of your belongings.

If it were just that easy then there would be no such things as accidents.

I've never used a case, and don't plan on it anytime soon. That's like buying a brand new car, and driving around with a car cover on it. You're buying it for the device it is, show it off.

I always buy some form of protection from Clear Coat. Their full body protection is almost undetectable if installed correctly.

With Tmobile 6 month jump, just trade in your scratched to hell iPhone 6 for another one (maybe get the other screen size to try it out). 6 months later, trade your scratched to hell phone again and get the iPhone 6S. Repeat.

I don't want to, but I will. I'll probably be comfortable enough to take it off around spring :p

or just get AppleCare+

I was going naked this time around but with those lines and protruding camera I'll most likely get a case again.

:apple:

My phone is usually beat to a pulp by the time I get a new one, I treat it like it is... a tool. AC+ covers me if it actually stops working. The touchscreen never receives any real scratches, just the case and back get scratched, dinged and dented.

Yes... Too clumsy not to. :D
I typically go with Spigen cases. They are already selling them, and will probably order one along with a screen protector tomorrow.

Never use case for my iphone since 3gs

I have had 3gs, 4, 4s and 5. Never use case for any.

For me, a case or skin just makes the phone nicer to hold. I like it to be somewhat grippy. I also like that you can put it on things and it doesn't buzz loudly or rattle/slip around (such as in a cup holder).

I think having a slippery phone will be much worse when it is as large as the new ones may be. It would be nice if the phone was just soft-touch to begin with.

I do find it funny people who refuse to get cases for the sole purpose of showing off. Nobody cares except phone thieves ;)

Mind you, the body of the iPhone 6 is made from the same stuff as soda cans.

Imagine dropping a soda can on the ground or accidentally banging it against a desk... would leave quite a nasty mark.

I'd rather not waste $180 on Applecare + replacement fee if I can easily avoid it.

I have always used a case and screen protector but I am not this time around because a screen protector with the curved glass edge will look stupid.

There are accidents with and without cases. Both issues I've had with iPhone since the first - a case wouldn't have helped. One - I fell into a frozen lake. The other - I didn't fully close the zipper on my Gore-Tex shell and water filled the pocket.

You can still drop a phone with a case and crack the screen. Guess it depends how worth it it is to you to cover up a phone for a "just in case". To me, not at all.
