The only good apps in Cydia are mywi and my3g. So no I won't my iPhone is just for those two apps.

I'm not. Why not? I'm just old school and chicken. I just do not want to chance jailbreaking new (and warranteed) products.

THat said, I do still have my 3Gs iPhone (and own a 4s), but am using it just as an iPod Touch now, and do plan on jailbreaking that to at least finally get my feet wet in jailbreaking and see what it's all about.

No, probably not. While I'm always intrigued by the thought of jailbreaking, every time I've done so, I've hated the experience. I did it with my first-gen iPod touch and again with my iPhone 3GS. Both times, the OS didn't seem to run as smoothly, and the apps and tweaks crashed/froze the device. I've steered clear ever since. I haven't JB'ed my 4S, and I don't plan on it with my iPad. In terms of extra functionality, there really isn't anything I will gain from it that I need.

The release time frame is getting longer and longer though for jailbreaks if you want to get real. There is a reason for that as well...

Tell me about. That is why im not even going to look forward to it. I don't think we will see one for months, if ever.

the jailbreak may come as early as monday, I've heard i0n1c has one running 5.1 jailbroken as we speak

I'm not planning on it. The thought of jailbreaking the iPad it & messing it up or bricking it scares me. Plus, it voids the warranty, doesn't it?

Absolutely not. It works out of the box. It's not an android device that needs to be rooted just to get a decent running system (in most cases & from what I read from the AndGeeks). iOS FTW as is.

Apparently it needs to be Jailbroken to open up the full potential of the device though. No walled garden for me, thanks.
