I never really gave any care to my watch or bands matching with what I wear (I currently have silver. First Apple Watch was the space grey) but I saw a picture somewhere of what the blue watch might look like, and my first thought was “hey that would match my scrubs” 😂 If the blue ends up being similar to the picture I saw...I would seriously consider it! It would be tempting, for sure!
The blue in the renders people have made looks really good! I actually don't mind any of the colors and I'm glad that Apple gives more choices to consumers. I'm just OCD about matching, haha. Hope the blue ends up the color you like!

Yeah, I've seen some pretty cool looking blues out there, for sure! Choices are always a good thing! I wouldn't say I'm OCD when it comes to matching, but I have an awful lot of watch bands that probably wouldn't look so good on a blue watch, so that would be a point of debate for me if/when a blue watch comes out 😂

I like space black although I might be tempted to buy blue, depending on the depth of color. I am more interested in features and impressing the ladies with the power of my Dick Tracey watch, versus what color it is.
Yea the sorcery impression level of AP with the watch is so much more than the phone.

I will stick with the black stainless steel. Nothing against the aluminum watch but the stainless steel is so classy looking.
I might actually consider SS except that not only do you have to pay extra just for SS, you have to pay another $100 for Cellular and $X/mo for a plan. Why do they have to limit the better finishes to cellular??

Probably not a watch. Maybe midnight blue.

I'd prefer to get a neutral case and customize with bands.

I'm pretty happy with my Apple Watch Series 3 got it new for 100 from a deal way back. I don't care much about other new features. I still have my Gear s3 also sometimes use it on my iphone too because of the many amount of custom watch faces

I'm not sure why Apple does it. Plans are cheap if you're not on a limited budget. If I'm not mistaken I only pay an additional $10/mth. I am only guessing that Apple figures if you can afford ss, you can afford cellular for it. Don't quote me on that.

The stainless steel is great for those always on the go in varying environments and conditions. It holds up much better, especially the screen, versus the aluminum model, which scratches very easily.

Space black SS from all views on here holds up the best

I thought the finish scratched and silver shines through?

The SS black is very resistant to scratches, while the stainless steel will scratch very easily. That being said, if the black scratches it is permanent and as you mentioned, likely to shine through and be noticeable. Stainless steal watches, period, get micro scratches. It doesn’t detract from the look, in my eyes, but even if it dies, you can polish the metal to remove/reduce scratches.

It’ll need something more than just the rumoured new sensors for me to upgrade from my SS SB S5. Slimmer, less bulbous design & faster charging and I might be interested.

This ‘slimmer phenomenon‘ that seems to get mentioned on here to me is rather silly. And I’m not trying to pick on you, but if you look at other smart watches, the Apple Watch is actually one of the thinnest smart watches on the market compared to Garmin, Galaxy Gear, etc. You can only make a watch so thin in terms of when you implement a battery, health sensors, soldered components, etc. The Battery advancements will come in time with the Micro-led transition.

Chances of me buying an Watch 6 is very slim. It would take a new killer feature to convince me. About the only thing I can think of is multi-day battery life. If they got it up to 5 or 6 days on a single charge I'd probably get it. Otherwise I will follow my usual upgrade schedule. 2-3 models between iPhone upgrades and 6-8 models between laptops. I will, however, accessorize the living crap out of whatever I get. :)

I understand what you mean. The AW is tiny compared with Garmin Fenix models. I mostly wear mechanicals which are bigger anyway.

I’ve no desire to upgrade yet anyway, unless there’s something that grabs me. Not a boring moan about innovation or lack thereof, but the current guesses at what the S6 will bring put it in the “skip this one” category, which suits me fine. It’s merely that when it is time to upgrade from my S5, I will want there to be new sensor(s) or functionality that appeals specifically to me, better battery or something particularly appealing in terms of new design.

It’s not my intention to buy every one anyway, I went S2 - S4 - S5. I had zero intention of getting an S5 until I learned about the always on display, which made it an instant purchase. For others, the AOD wasn’t a big deal, as a very long time watch wearer to me it absolutely was.

I've been admiring the white ceramic Watch lately. Not so much the price, but I do love the look. Now if the rumored blue Watch was released in ceramic and the right shade of blue...

You can save significant more money by not purchasing the ceramic new. If you look at eBay, they are ceramic model Apple Watches for sale are at half the price because they don’t hold value. On top of that, the ceramic is literally impervious to damage, so you can find them in almost perfect condition. Never pay full price for the ceramic unless you can accept the horrendous resale value.

I don’t think I could wear a second hand watch. Just like I could never buy a second hand phone. But that’s just my hang ups!
