Will you try the new bumper on your iPhone 4?

Ordered the invisible shield today.. Once I get my iPhone 4 and get that installed, I will see how I feel about it being protected. Then I will make my decision. I will be getting a black if I do get it.
what is the difference between the full body maximum coverage and the full body easy install ?

No thank you! Yea its overpriced just as everything else Apple and I would gladly over pay if it only covered the phone, not just the sides. It looks really good though.

Is the bumper case only goes around the sides? or also has a clear back?

Just around the sides.

my experience with iPhones thus far, however, is that no case is best (unless you are into those hip pouches you can just slide the phone in). Invariably, what happens is that debris gets trapped between the case and the phone and either gets mashed into the seams or in the case of my original iPhone made little "pits" on the aluminum on the back.

Maybe I'm buying into the marketing hype, but it's the same type of glass use for helicopter windshields, so I'm not too worried.

Bumper + Invisible Shield on front and maybe back. Maybe I'm just not careful enough about putting my phone in pocket with keys / change but my screen always seems to get hairline scratches.

If the bumper can help the iPhone from sliding out of my pockets and down under my seat when I get in the car I'll get one! I love the iPhone and hate hiding it with a case.

Is there any real information on these things other than the announcement? Like, will it provide any real protection if dropped on the side? What kind of material is it made out of? Will it act as a kind of shock absorber? Will it help prevent screen cracking if dropped? Will it be raised on the front and the back of the phone a bit so if laid on a table, the phone won't be resting directly on it's back?

It can't simply be a livestrong bracelet that is only there for aesthetics, right? Especially at $29.

if watched the keynote, you would all know that the phone doesnt scratch, the front and back are made from the same scratch resistant glass, the reason for the bumper if u look at the iphone u have now is to help the metal from not scratching i know the metal on my 3GS is scratched to ****! So yes i think it is a great idea and who cares if its $30 thats nothing i waste more money on worse things! and of course my phone will be white with the pink bumber! :p

Nope No Bumper for me, I will wait to see what new cases come out but in the mean time, I will just have to be very very careful until I get this thing in a protective case.

I'm not concerned about scratching, I'm more concerned about the screen shattering. I'd love to know if this Bumper helps the iPhone 4 resist screen shattering.

i may be wrong, but i thought the new phone had a sensor under the rear glass too. (another light sensor maybe?). maybe that's why the new case only covers the edges.

in reference to the poll: yes, black on black.

i am not sure about this, they showed how strong the glass was, they could bend it and nothing happened to it, so maybe it wont shatter like the old ones do... i never did have that problem have owned both the 3g and 3gs and never shattered one once, and droped both many times! so im not really worried about shattering glass, guess i have good luck :)

I dont believe in cases. They constrict the work of art that is the iPhone. :D That's like placing one of jackson pollacks works of art in a closet.

Exactly what I want. Covering up Apple's flawless design with a piece of silicone or plastic seems horrible and I can't bring myself to do it. It devalues and cheapens the phone's look incredibly.

This looks like what I wanted. Able to sit the phone down on the front or back without having to worry about the back or front scratching (as it's a bit longer than the phone).

I tried the invisibleshield sort of thing, but it makes the phone have an ugly finish, worsens the touch screen and the feel is horrible.

So, I'll be most likely getting a white bumper for my black iPhone 4.

Nah, I like my iPhone like I like my women....;)

Haha. I have had all 3 generations of the iPhone and never had a case or screen cover of any type. The phones all looked great too when I sold them to get the next version. They are more durable then you think.

If I were to get something along those lines, I'd wait for the knockoffs to show up and hopefully find one that's translucent, like kinda the same material as Solo FX cases. If someone comes out with one like that, I'm on it. White iPhone and (ideally) clear pink Bumper-esque thing.

While I do think it looks nice to have the bumper the same colour as the iPhone (black phone black bumper/white phone white bumper) they're too expensive and I'd rather get a case that protects the back as well.

I'm not one for cases anyway, I'll be getting a Best Skins Ever case for the iPhone 4 =)

If Apple say the glass is super-scratch-proof, I don't see why I should spend more money making my iPhone bigger, more of a dust magnet, full of air bubbles/ internal dust etc.

Not sure yet. It's not a real good protection and I'm waiting for the first reviews. If the back (or front) will never put the ground when you lay it down I might buy it. Otherwise no.

I'll probably go for the dock.

Fully body max, is the steel too.

THe easy install is just front and back.. I got the easy. Too complicated to protect the steel, especially if I am going to get a bumper.

I'm not sure yet either. They are a little pricey for what you get.
I also prefer translucent with a tint and it's hard to tell from Apple's web site if they are translucent or not plus if they are silicone or TPU. I really like TPU now that I've had it on my iPad. IT'S THE BEST!
I want to see one in person before deciding.
