Will you try the new bumper on your iPhone 4?

I'll be buying a bumper but not the Apple one. I'm sure there will be plenty of cases/bumpers available soon. I'm still on the fence about which color phone, though. My 3G and 3GS are both white, but I'm not so sure about the new phone. It has a little too much white.

No bumper, but this, except the newer version. Sena Pouch

full protection in my pocket while keeping the beauty of the phone whilst in use. ;)

I used it on my 3gs, and when I sold the phone it still looked brand new.

I dont believe in cases. They constrict the work of art that is the iPhone. :D That's like placing one of jackson pollacks works of art in a closet.

Jackson Pollack (or even Pollock) iPhone case!...yes!...famous art iPhone cases...Dali's melting iPhone!...I'm going to start up a new business and make a fortune!

~runs to art shop to buy paint things~

Agreed on the iPhone. Not on JP...put his stuff in the closet or better yet the garage, cuz it looks like my garage floor. :p Modern art fan, but not really JP.

I will probably get a Bumper, because in the past the few weeks after getting a new iPhone that I wait for a good case to come out, is when I damage the phone. So i plan to protect it on day one, and I always like to give the Apple solution a try. I will probably go Black on black.

With that said, I put faith in the glass back to not scratch, so for me it is either bumper or nothing at all. You can't cover up the phone, hell, I hate covering up my 3GS.

this will probably only sell well if it gives the back/front (both hopefully) pieces of glass 1/2mm of ground clearance so we can be safe.

The again, that sena pouch looks pretty good, i was amazed at the touch of a glass touch screen after having a screen protector for nearly a year.

I was hoping they were going to sell the bumpers like the iPod sock bundle xD

Too bad.

edit: my decision would be black iPhone 4G (4 or 4g?) with a white bumper, maybe green or orange, would have to see them on an iphone first ;)

Another overprices "accessory" that apple is convincing the fanboys that is "new and cool and necessary".... sad that people don't/won't explore other options out there.. 30$ for a case that doesn't actually cover the entire phone? LOL.

Yeah it's overpriced, but it's exactly what I want. It will prevent the phone from shattering when dropped, it most likely won't lay directly on surfaces, and it adds some grip, all without covering up the design. Perfect.

It's overpriced for what it is so I think I will wait until a 3rd party release a cheaper version before getting one.

I probably wont be picking one up, because it doesnt seem to do much. But, I may pick up a back and front protector from bodyguardz. Those things are almost invisible, very hard to see!

I have always used an Incase Protective Cover on my iPhones (the ones that always split at the headphone jack after a few months). One of the nice things about that case, besides not adding too much bulk for a case, is that it's edges rise about 2mm above the screen face so when you place/drop the phone face down on a flat surface the screen never touches that surface. Nor does it slide around on an uneven surface.

If edges of these Bumpers rise a mm or two above the front and back faces of the new phone I think they would prevent most scratches without hiding the phone and adding a bunch of bulk. Obviously, if you drop the phone face down on a rock or mashed it in with a pocket full of keys, this case provides no protection.

They say it's made of plastic and rubber. It better be rubber that comes in contact with the surface on which you place it and not plastic or that thing will fly around like a hockey puck. That would not be good. If the rubber contacts the surface, I think it's the perfect case......for me, anyway.
