I upgraded to 4.1, poked around a little, then downgraded. Didn't find anything compelling enough to lose the jailbreak. Thats the nice ice thing about saving SHSH files. It makes it pretty easy to go back and re-jailbreak. Plus on the iPhone 4 you can downgrade the baseband back to 1.59.00, till they stop signing 4.0.2.

Apple's going to have to do a hell of a lot better than 4.1 for me to give up the jailbreak.

i probably will give up my jb for a few weeks. the only thing on my jb that i can't get normally is mywi. everything is just aesthetics.

but that's a fair trade for finally fixing the bluetooth issues. my god i have been so pissed at my phone for the last 2 months because of the stupid bluetooth problems

Never use bluetooth.

Proximity issue is a very minor issue for me.

HDR photos? Cool, but had never heard of them until last week and can definitely live without.

I get WAY too much out of Cydia tweaks to ever go back to unjailbroken.

This is my 1st iPhone, next year I probably won't buy the 4(S) until the jailbreak is out for that firmware.

I may give mine up. I realized just the other day the only thing I would really, really miss with a non jailbroken phone is unlimited apps in a folder and SBSettings. Maybe LockInfo too but I could live without it. The jailbreak thing didn't excite me as much as I thought it would.

I will probably go to 4.1 for awhile then go back to 4.0.1 if I ever felt the need.

I can't live without my jailbreak for 2+ months. With 4.2 coming in November, the Dev Team won't release a jailbreak until after that I believe.

no way. if proximity sensor is an issue (it's not) I can use the call guard app. If I want HDR photos there's also plenty of apps for that as well.

well I have never giving up my jailbreak for a firmware update before. I don't see anything that special about 4.1 that can't wait till the Dev-team releases a jb. they have two exploits waiting.

Installed 4.1 on my 3G through Option + Click Update.

Then ran jailbreak with redsnow. After the break completed, I restarted the phone.

The PHONE features were totally removed, but text still worked. I could receive calls, but there is NO sound to or from the device. The actual icon is missing from the dashboard. WIERD!?

Yes.
I only upgrade when there're features that I want, such as Game Center and HDR photos.

I love my SBSettings, Five icon Dock, iMame4all, etc, but I can live without it, until 4.1 gets jailbroken.
If it was 3.x, then no way!

i have version 4.0.2 so once jailbreaking comes out for 4.1 im gonna do it thank god.

Same here. This was my first time downgrading, and it took me a few tries, but I finally got it.

Now back on 4.0.1

My iPhone 4 came with 4.0.2 preinstalled so upgrading to 4.1 was an easy decision :p

I REALLY need the performance fix for my 3G, so I hope there actually will be a jailbreak for 4.1. It would really suck if I have to wait for 4.2.

Right but then you're not giving up the jailbreak.

Who were all those people really giving it up for a minor bump? Hoping they are iPhone 3G users! If I didn't have another phone I'd be tempted too. My iPhone 3G is barely usable as an iPod/GPS at the moment.

Unless Steve decides to let me choose my own SMS tone and not have the same tones go off 100 times in an office, then no.

You guys know that you can download the game centre app off cydia now. It's been on there for a good few weeks. Add me on there my name is simply: Eddy

lol i thought i'd get it before it got taken.

Sbsettings/profile, Notified, Lockinfo, bitesms, backgrounder, tetherme, etc. >> HDR, proximity fix (not a big problem for me), gamecenter

Too much of a loss in productivity if I remove my jailbreak. Jailbreaking is what is keeping me from moving onto Android :p. It gives my ip4 the best of both worlds: 3rd party apps with a smoother UI.

I agree with foamy.
When I got my ip4 on launch day, the vanilla ios was simple awful, functionality wise.
Sbsettings is a great tool. IRealSMS is another one. Other apps really bring out the quality and capability of the phone. I will wait for the jb
