Keep my 2018 12.9 Pro as many years as possible. I like the higher-end devices like this but the price has hit the knee in the curve for me.

I’ve been waiting for the upgrade so I can get a better deal on a 2018. I have the 12.9 2018 but want an 11. AR stuff doesn’t appeal to me. Better iPad camera who cares. The keyboard is cool though that would be my attraction to the 2020.
But with the virus going around I’m holding on to money. This includes projects in my home like building my patio and redoing a bathroom. It’s just the reality of the situation right now. Buying luxury it’s just don’t seem right when I’m worried about my parents getting this thing. Not worried much about my health or my wife’s given we are both healthy. I’m not hurting for cash but I want to put off purchases such as this. Even the 2020 iphone. I want to upgrade my xs max since I travel. I take pics with my phone and I actually have close to $600 already for my iPhone upgrad; I’m putting $100/month aside to buy unlock. I’m feeling uneasy about buying that too. Hopefully it doesn’t get worst.

edit: sorry for being a bummer. I work in public health so I’m deep in this stuff.

Partially depends on how much memory. They've been on 4 GB since 2015 so it's time to move to 6 GB.

It's nice they finally upgraded the base model to 128 GB though.

You're right on, not a bummer. Too many uncertainties out there now for large layouts for something like this unless absolutely needed.

The touchscreen on my 3rd generation iPad Pro is beginning to act wonky. Battery life has also gotten pretty bad from lots of heavy use (either that or its defective).

As a result, I think I will be upgrading. :)

Issues after way less than two years with the flagship product? That’s sad.

I would love to upgrade to this, but $949 base line with cellular and $299 for keyboard with trackpad, definitely an investment. And with Covid-19, might have to consider waiting a bit.
But we all do have that stimulus check coming? It couldn’t come at a better time! Lol!

Keeping my mini 5 and 2nd gen 12.9 but I am glad these are finally out. pretty neat! The 2018 iPP was looking long in the tooth.

It seems to make sense financially to keep something that works. I just picked up a used 10.5 and absolutely love it, 512GB with cellular, I would really need a justification to purchase the new Pro, besides wanting new shiny Apple candy.

Meh. It equates to the only new thing is a new comers module. I’m happy using my iPhone 11 Pro camera and the 2018 11 iPad Pro. Good to see base is 128 tho. Only possible way I’ll upgrade is if I can spend $200 tops to upgrade to the 512gb model tho.

Apple Portable Desktop Keyboard?

Am I correct to notice that you have to remove the iPad every time you want to use it in portrait mode? You cant fold back the cover? That seems to be a pretty big problem for those who walk around with their iPad a lot.

I’m ready and can afford to update my original pro but the way things are going now I’m holding off. Not like I can sit in a coffee shop and enjoy it lol or travel with it.
