Will you still jailbreak iOS5? If yes, what for?

Liveclock, WeatherIcon; SBSettings; CallTell; Mail Enhancer & Removebackground plus the ability to totally customize my phone.
 
Bitesms and fakeclockup (fakeclockup is the best tweak for the iphone, in my opinion)

My point exactly. I'm not paying another $30.00 a month or whatever it is when I can just jailbreak it and use mywi. I don't use it all the time, but when I do want to use it, it comes in handy.

Yeah, all you need to do is drag an app icon out of iTunes to the desktop, or where ever you'd like. Instant backup. :)

I'm not judging or anything. I've had Installous on my phone for a short time. Originally it was only for the Pandora skip hack (I needed an older version). That was fine for about a day or two and then it became too addictive for me, so I stopped.

Before deleting everything out of Cydia and my phone I went from a hacked Pandora to three full folders in days. Then it occurred to me that most of the stuff I downloaded was only somewhat interesting and the real draw was that I got it because I could, not because I really wanted the application.

No more Installous for me. Heck, I'm not really sure I'll even jailbreak once iOS5 is released. I know I'll miss a few things but this new firmware offers a lot of great features . I may change my mind about that though, I hate both the stock SMS tones and the homescreen wallpaper gradient. :)
 
Lame reason (IMO), but I still will for themes.... I just can't stand the fugly stock icon gloss. Call me superficial, lmao. :D
 
no the only reason i JB my phone is for the Unlock.

Soon i will buy a Factory unlocked phone and forget about JB.
Yes theres things i like about JB like my iblacklist so i can
send some messages right to voice mail but . . .
 
I'm going to IOS5 normal but if the dev team works its magic then why not jb again, sb settings and folder enhancer are nice to have but my main want was lock info and mywi.

I only adv 1.5 gb month so I may as well pay the extra 15.00 to teather legit. Not like they will let us keep unlimited when 4g or LTE comes out so why hold on.

My feelings exactly. These will be the 2 apps I jailbreak for. After using them for so long now, I can't imagine not having them. Actually, just as an experiment to see if I might possibly want to install iOS 5 on my iP4 now, I set fakeclockup back to the stock speed. My phone felt so slow (after having always used it on 2.0x speed) that it'd take me forever to get used to an un-jailbroken phone again.
 
I am quite impressed with iOS5.

Yes, I will still jailbreak because of Tethering, SBSettings and I like playing around with new tweaks.
 
A million of these threads. IOS 5 is nice no doubt. Apple will never do everything JB can do. #1 offer freedom. but sbsettings, folderenhancer,pandora skip hack,colorkeyboard,fastsnap,popup blocker,mywi themes just because I can are a few reasons but there are many many more.
 
Yes, I will miss BiteSMS. If Apple does quick reply, then I won't need the application.

these are the main reasons, all these little tweaks i could never live with anymore

Im just shocked people are talking about not jailbreaking...there are so many tweaks one can do with jailbreaking...even if for just one thing, it is worth it
 
i realize that, apps notwithstanding, i WANT my iphone to NOT look generic, similar to everyone elses. i WANT more icons onscreen, i want my status bar distinctive. etc.

my phone should be unique to/like me... :D
 
nope i won't... except for the one month i go out of the country and need to unlock the phone. no point since i get wifi tethering included in my employee plan. right now im only jb for activator, shrink, sbsettings, and notifier pro
 
I probably will still jailbreak mine as I need Calllock (2nd flaky proximity sensor in a row and nervous to replace this otherwise perfect phone) and by the time ios5 is released I fancy Lockinfo will surpass it even further in the notifications area.

I'm going to miss that too. I enjoyed not paying for anything ever...download $100 apps even if I didn't use them.

Seems like no matter what Apple has in its new updates, the JB community always seems to improve what they have done by giving us more tweaks. Well lets see what they come up with after ios5 is out.
