If there's huge spec bumps in processing power, yes. This need for speed is insatiable.

If not, I'll probably start using my iPhone 5 with no case!

I'll more than likely upgrade.

I always get my iPhone from Apple and tend to get a new iPhone everytime a new one comes out and sell my old one.

I find doing it this way gets me a really good price for my old iPhone (I have a friend who always buys my old iPhone) which then means I only have a minimal amount to put to, to get my new iPhone. :)

I've gone for still debating.....normally if the spec bump is worthwhile, then I'd upgrade and sell my five....makes sense to get as much back as possible. This time around I'm saving for my upcoming wedding....my fiancée has a 4S and the plan would be for me to get the newbie and for her to have that...it's going to depend on just how much of a bump it is, and of course money..:)

Waiting for a larger screen before I update.

Its the only reason why I want to upgrade, the functionality and processing speed of the current phone (5) is fine and more than suits my needs, I don't want gimmick fingerprint recognition etc, just a larger screen.

Apple doesn't seem ready to make a larger screen for my 65 year old eyes, so I may look to the dark side for the HTC One, come on Apple Quad Core lots of Ram, 128 card and 6" screen, get with the program!

Get with the program you say ? This will never happen. Get yourself a tablet if you want a 6 inch screen. Goodness, that made me laugh. Oh ya, I'm 68 and a 4 inch iphone is just fine.

I have iPhone 5. Been eligible for upgrade since May. If iPhone 5 (s) comes out. I will skip the iPhone for the first time since 2007.

And buy a Samsung Galaxy Note 3.

No, I'm sticking to my 5. I don't need every single iPhone that comes out. I find that ridiculous, in my opinion, and a waste of money. I'm perfectly happy with what I have, and I'll most likely upgrade to the 6 next year when my contract ends, that's if I like it enough to get it. If not, I'll still stick with my 5.

If Apple keeps its tradition the iPhone 6 will be another major phone redesign with a possible larger screen or resolution. I can hardly see myself ditching my iPhone 5 for a fingerprint sensor, better camera and flash and a slightly faster processor.

Pretty much sums up what's wrong with the world, and what corporations like Apple thrive on.

That's not a personal attack, just an observation.

No offense taken.

Now I mean I get the latest and greatest when it comes to a phone or something in that price range. But for example a car, I buy new and keep those for 10 years.

Hopefully, I need more storage, I'd like to have a bigger screen, and something noticeably faster/******** than this 4S.

And I'm on Sprint, so LTE is a necessity, it's either that or dial-up-like 3G.

Edit: Why does "snapp-ier" get edited out?

I'm not sure. It never fails, I always buy every iPhone when they first come out then I get EXTREMELY bored with it after a few months and switch to Andriod. I think the only thing that would keep me with the iPhone all the way through is if they released a bigger screen, and if they stole some of samsungs features. Hey Samsung did it to them and now they are Very successful. 3 things I'd love to see 1. 5 inch 1080p screen, 2. Picture in Picture app for video like on my GS4, 3. Ability to use split screen and use 2 apps at once.
If i got those 3 simple things in an iPhone I'd never switch again. It's no reason why Samsung should be killing apple in sales of phones. But to answer the OP's original question I'm still debating.

Nope, I won't be. I'm happy with my 5 and since I am not doing subsidies anymore I'm doing $750 for an S model. That, combined with iOS 7 basically making it feel like a new phone I am completely comfortable bypassing upgrading this year.

The question for me is next year: 5S, 6, or plastic?

No.

I currently have an iPhone 5, and I want to get an iPad 5. I can't afford both. However, if the "new" iPhone is drastically different, i.e. bigger screen, I will most likely find a way to upgrade.

I remember the good days when I sold my iPhone 3G to buy a 3GS. I actually made money doing that. Since they changed things, upgrade cost is a minimum of $450, but I could most likely sell my iPhone 5 for that much. Who knows, time will tell.

I'm honestly very happy with the 5, but I honestly need more than 16 gigs. So, I'll be upgrading to a 32/64gb iphone 5 whatever model.

I'm very content with my iphone 5, If I had an opportunity to upgrade I will, but I have to say.. This is the first phone that I feel I can actually hold on for a year or 2

I'm waiting to see what it will be like once it comes out as well as the Galaxy Note III.

If I'm not impressed with iPhone 5S, I'll probably switch to the Note.
