The pixels will make you regret it.

I dunno, I never thought it was worth it to upgrade the iPad 2 to the iPad 3 for the Retina alone. I am still unsure if I want to upgrade my iPad 2 for the 4. I am tempted to continue waiting to see if they alter the form factor with some extra additions in early to mid 2013... I wouldn't mind it being lighter. but its not necessary.

It depends on the user whether or not the PPI matter.

I will, but then again I'm not paying to do it 'cause I got the 30 day thingy. My local reseller just emailed saying they're receiving the 4th next Friday. (Yes, they were kind enough to let me return it for a full refund).

If I had bought my iPad3 2 days earlier, I'd no longer be under the 30 day period. In that case I would definitely not upgrade, although I have to say that there were things about the 3 that I was not impressed with...

Browsing through my cover-art rich iTunes gallery was not smooth, setting would stuck and quit sometimes and also the framerate in games like Mass Effect and GoF2HD was not impressive. My 4S performed those tasks much better. In that sense it was a disappointment.

I thought that too until I saw the two next to each other. It would e hard to go back. When I hold my wife's iPad 2 I'm amazed that I was never bothered before by the pixels

I am sure if I held them next to each other, I would agree... Also why I haven't done that

I do want my iPad to have the lightning connector (so my devices can use the same charger), and with the chip upgrade, it is much more worth consideration... I still want to wait though, since the upgrade cycle is a little messed up at the moment.

I'm sticking with my ipad 3. Bought mine 3 weeks and was able to get a full refund. Placed an order for a iPad 3 refurb. The money I saved I'll put it towards the next gen if it's lighter, thinner and has more ram. I don't do any gaming, photo editing or movie editing so the iPad 3 is fine for me.
