Has anyone used 'XP Mode' in Windows 7 in Fusion?

For some reason, that sounds funny...

That would be the equivalent of running a virtual machine inside a virtual machine. Slow and pointless. If you need xp, just install an xp virtual machine.

Hello JNB,

What are the specs on your Apple computer? Windows 7 does have a lower resource consumption and many changes were made to ensure speed, stability, and performance when compared to other operating systems. Windows 7 RC is out and available for download for free directly from Microsoft. I would recommend checking out Microsoft Springboard to see what Windows 7 will offer you as a user. Also, Springboard does provide direct access to the Microsoft download center.

Microsoft Windows Client Team

Oh, yeah, that's a real good suggestion.

I know quite well where and how to get it, and also the changes and improvements made. Trust me, I've followed Win7 development fairly closely. All I'm asking here is which version other MR members chose.

These self-described "Microsoft Windows Client Team" (JessicaD, Windows7Guy) people are strange. Most of the time they post cut and paste answers to threads that have already run their course.

Makes me wonder if they are real people or just some sort of bot. Would be nice if their responses were timely and less "canned".

EDIT: FWIW you can get RTM ISOs direct from Microsoft and use those as a trial too...
