new york to ireland
ireland to germany stay over for 2 week and then to new york

since I never have flown 1st class, is it true that the air stewardesses dance naked in 1st/1th class and that you get to fly land the plane?

Hmmm, dont you want to sleep during the long flights? Just curious since you seem to have the opposite strategy to me.

I would love to be able to sleep, but somehow I never seem to drop off.
I ususaly end up trying to make myself comfortable by trying every position you can in the seat. Being next to the aisle you can get yourself into more positions without bothering anybody.

I do remember flying from Holland to Indonesia when I was little (used to live in Jakarta in the early 80's), and we would fly KLM buisness class. Back then I could curl up in those lovely seats, and get some sleep.
Can't remember seeing any naked waitresses though (not even peeping through the Royal Class curtains) ;)

I am doing research at the University and thus I have to make do with the cheapest tickets around. :(
Still, I have learned how to sleep through all my long flights. Inflatable pillow, shades, earplugs and a some heavy food right before the flight. My frequentflyer card allows me to board with 1st class, why I normally am a sleep before the plane takes off. I have found this to be a good way to prevent jetlag.

No naked wiatresses at all?????? Please tell me that they at least have some dancing elephants there. Why else would people pay that hefty premium???

I think I don't fly enough long flights nowadays to be an experienced flight-sleeper. :)
Most of my flights consist of the Amsterdam - London hop over the North Sea which takes about 45 mins. Maybe once every two years orso I get on a trans atlantic flight which could make your suggestions very usefull!
Tnx for them.
Must admit.... I am also waiting for my 60 GB iPod Video to be used at its full portential. Such a pity to sleep the full 8 hours from Holland to the East Coast of the US when one's iPod is loaded with fun stuff! :D

Must. Find. Out. About. Waitresses. Must. Save. Up. X. Tra. Cash. For. Royal. Class.

I'd prefer window but nowadays it really doesn't bother me since WestJet has satellite tv for every passenger and I'm sure that is the case for most of the other major airlines out there.

The best is when you have a bench all to yourself, though. You get the window and can watch 3 different tv screens all at the same time. :)

Just flew home form Vegas - the aisle seat actually worked quite well for me this time, as my leg room spilled over into the aisle making for a comfy ride home. :)

Just booked 32 hours worth of airtime (4 flights). All aisle. Oh, and all Business Class :D

I'm a tall bloke, so I love to get as much leg room as possible. As such I would go for the aisle. But they are still really annoying any way you look at it.

My teacher told me that he regularly gets upgraded to business because of his height, he is over 2 meters. How awesome is that :D

i'll go with the window seat....om the aisle side you got the annoying people bumping into your elbow and the annoying person next to you snoring with some kung-fu breath.....window seat it is!

Bless
