I was truly shocked when I saw this screenshot of ipad pop up on the live stream with the red/yellow/green bubbles
Lucky for you, as they clearly showed, you can continue to use the iPad the same way you used it before.Wow. It's now like my Mac!!! So...what the hell is the point of iPad?
How about...let iPad be iPad and let Mac be a Mac. "I want iPad to be like Mac" complainers are insufferable. 🙄
That’s pretty much what it appears to be. It’s not a replacement for the MacBook Air or MacBook Pro, but with these updates, an iPad can more effectively be a MacBook without Apple having to reintroduce those.Makes me think they are pushing for the iPad to replace the MacBook. I certainly hope this is not the case.
I'm sure those useless features didn't cost Apple a million engineering hours and this iPadOS update is still a "gigantic release" for me.Lucky for you, as they clearly showed, you can continue to use the iPad the same way you used it before.
Yea I just bought a surface pro 11 w 5g which works great for work for me but I maybe should have waited since I also have the iPad Pro M4 which I may have been able to use more like a laptop now.Best update of the entire keynote, this is huge! Now I kinda wish I hadn't invested in a Mac earlier this year, feel like this could get me back to using exclusively an iPad. We'll see how seamless the experience is though!
Very slowly. Maybe. What about installing apps from outside of the App Store? I have numerous apps in my workflow that run on Apple Silicon but are not available through the App Store. So finally the iPad is becoming a laptop.
Didn’t really see a desktop per se, more of an enhanced stage manager, wich is really all it is needed on an iPad.Us who defended the desktop metaphor all these years were considered "old fashioned", "nostalgic" "reluctant to change" and bunch of other things. Who's laughing now?
If only a file transfer protocol existed with BluetoothBut still cannot transfer your file to a PC easily or without sucking your blood.
They didI’m pretty sure during the keynote they had more than 4 apps open on the screen at once…
