It depends on how much he's being paid to do that video...You use one and tell your experience.
You haven’t watched the video have you?
It’s quite rich to just accuse a content creator, you seemingly don’t even know, of corruption.
Benchmarks and literal videos of what’s happening on screen don’t lie.
Also, I highly doubt Apple pays content creators a dime. There has never been any substantial evidence that Apple payed any content creator underhandedly.

Edit: you can find this comment amusing, but if a reaction is all you have to offer, that only underlines my point.
Baseless accusations and the bias everyone comparing Apple against anything else and Apple actually being better must be paid.

I put "chmania" on Ignore. Makes the forum much less trolltastic.

You know, "Windows 10 Deadline Boosts Mac sales" something to ponder about...

By the way, I like Macs and macOS—perhaps the only thing I appreciate about Apple. I have two of them: one was bought brand new last year, which travelled from China through Czechia to me, never touching the US, while the other is a 2018 15" MacBook, which is really good!

What does the title have to do with Surface laptops falling short of MacBook Airs? If anything, it supports my claim.
What does anything have to do with your Mac not having been in the US?

That's the topic, not Surface laptops.
lol 200 comments in, nobody will scold you for elaborating on your previous comment ;) in fact, this back and forth is worse than you just simply pointing out what’s wrong with the comparisons.
I mean, this IS an article about people switching from Windows to Mac, so why wouldn’t it be a place to, I don’t know, talk about THE Windows laptops compared to MacBooks.
Doesn’t seem off topic to me, but if that’s the best way you can come up with to avoid giving an actual answer, do you :p

1st mistake!

2nd mistake!

Inspiron is Dell, and Dell is American. Costco is American too!

Even though Microsoft and Windows are also American, they are excellent and are not accountable for Dell, Costco, or the buyer's ignorance.
lol but I‘m off topic?

It's quite a dilemma, isn't it? Maybe we should get a Surface laptop and compare it to the Macs. Not a brand new model, but perhaps a Surface 3 or 4 against the M4. It's important to value other operating systems since they all contribute to progress. Have a good day!

The only dilemma here is that you can’t defend any of your remarks and make even more outlandish ones.
Go ahead, compare an older Surface to the recent MacBook Air and tell me any other comparison is flawed again :D

The only sensible thing you mentioned is that competition is good, which is undeniably true.
Maybe Microsoft will understand that too and stop trying to sell us their reskin of a MacBook Air as a Surface.

@mlayer I see where you’re coming from :D

You make some valid points, though I disagree with a few. For example, the Surface Laptop review video you shared shows a device with serious issues, but does that mean all Surface devices have the same problems? From my experience, that’s not the case. Several of my customers use Surface devices and report very positive experiences, which is quite different from what the video suggests. I also checked other reviews on YouTube, and most of them are positive. It’s possible the unit in that video had hardware defects.
If you do some research, you’ll find that Apple devices also have users reporting issues. That doesn’t mean Apple products are bad, just like with any brand, there will always be cases where customers experience quality problems.

I do agree that the MacBook Pro and Air are excellent devices, and your point about how well they integrate with other Apple products is valid. That’s been my experience too with my Apple devices. However, Windows and Surface devices also offer advantages when integrating with Android devices. And there are cases, like business and enterprises, where there integration with Microsoft ecosystem offers a better experience than what we have with Apple.

You also mentioned that the Surface is just a “reskinned MBA.” I’ve had both devices side by side, and the differences are clear. Plus, there are rumors that Apple might add a touchscreen and FaceID to MacBooks. Would you tell Apple to stop selling “reskinned Surface devices” if that happens? I don’t think it’s a bad thing to adopt good features from the competition.
