I cannot get it working?

Macbook Pro 17",dual core 2.93.
vid card is Nvidia GeForce 9600 GT 512.
i generally have Vusion ware allocate the Windows software at 1 proc with about 2 G of ram.
The game i'm trying to play is Empires of Total War.It meets the minimum specs on the box.
The game boots to the first screen then locks up!The whole system crashes then.
Can anyone help me here?

You're trying to play the game in a Fusion VM? I think that is going to be a "fail". You'll have to use bootcamp and go directly to Windows to play it instead of trying it in Fusion.

I did read that there's going to be a new patch next week for E:TW where they add multi-threading to the application. This is supposed to greatly boost performance for multiple core systems, and they said it will boost it on single core as well. So here's hoping that it really is noticeable on my MBP.

along the same lines...

Anyone know how total war would run on a 2009 MacbookPro 13 inch 2.26 Ghz and 4GB of ram...?? would it be playable?

Just installed and played Empire:total war on windows 7 on 2.53 MBP. Ran smooth didn't try messing with the settings, as I'll do this on the final build not the demo, but all seems well. Just wanted to let you guys and gals out there using windows 7 know, it can run current games with out any problem so far. Windows 7 Build 7000

Any one need a key let me know.

the one windows gave me works infinite amount of times.

It would be awesome if you could send me that product key. Been trying to run empire on my new pro with previous versions of windows, but it keeps crashing.

Empire on 13 inch Macbook pro

I am wondering about this too. Moreover, if someone tried it, can a video be posted regarding this issue?

is it possible to download the RC anymore ? (i know you can't from microsoft)

i do have a key

empire on my mbp

hey, so i really want to play this game, and I would just download the demo from steam, but my internet connection is through a proxy and steam won't let me on. (i know to activate TW:Empire, you need to be on steam, and I can just go to a wifi spot for this)

anyway, here's my specs
07 macbook pro
2.2 GHz intel dual core
4 GB RAM
8600M GT NVidia 128mb
Running Windows 7 through bookcamp

The listed min. processing speed is 2.4.
I'm more worried about my graphics card being able to handle it with only 128mb.

Has anyone tried a similiar set up? Or have an idea on whether this would run?

How well would it work? I mean, getting it to run is one thing, but then having 5 minute loading time and having to play with all the graphics on low might not be that enjoyable.

If you think I'll need to run it all on low, do you know what the quality will be like? screenshot?

Thank you. I played this game on my friends comp and I'm hooked...

Hey, sorry to resurrect an old thread (it is the season for zombies, right?) But I just got this on Steam and tried running it through Crossover version 10.1.2.

It installed ok, it takes awhile to get to the menu screen but it does (and I'm happy) But I tired to start an Independence campaign and it keeps crashing.
A pop up shows saying that it had a problem and need to be shut down at the loading screen.

I looked everywhere for a fix but couldnt find any. Hoping you guys might know of one.

My specs are
Macbook Pro
2.8 gHz
4gb ram 512mb vram
Intel core duo 2
nvidia GeForce 9400M
nvidia Geforce 9600 GT

Thank you!
