Wired headphones

HI guys,
just bought a pair of Sennheiser IE 300 and trying to connect them to my iphone 13 pro max using the Apple lightning to 3.5 converter.
When i plug it the sound doesn't switch to my headset?
Am I doing something wrong?

Yah I restarted the phone and when I plugged them in again it worked. Probably a bug.

Also remember, that some apps don't auto switch to the mode of audio output you want. You have to select it within the app being used.
