Just looked at their specs from documentation, for the Car Charger and it says:
Output
DC 5v - 2.4A
9V -2A
12v - 1.5v

My lighter plug says:
Input 12-24vdc
Output 5v-1.0A

I think the plug I got is not the same plug as they states comes in the box.

I’ll check mine out tomorrow. That’s odd. Does yours look like this?

Well , Ordered the wearhouse deal Iottie and someone put in their other model so reordering again :(
Company car so Dash wear is ok for me if it happens.

I ordered the YouStoo Fast Wireless Car charger and I must say I'm impressed.

Some real world usage from today's commute.

-iPhone X was at 63% when I left house.
-Commute was almost 2 hours and I used Google Maps the entire time and was on calls probably 80% of the drive.
-iPhone was at 81% when I got to office.
Nice! Maybe I will give this a shot for car #2. How do you like the side hold arm functionality? Is it spring loaded and do the automatically clasp your phone when you put it in? Also, I will mount this one on an almost vertical surface. The part of the dash facing the passenger seat and not the top. The iOtti has a ton of flexibility on this space by it's design. This one looks limited. If you know what I am saying, what do you think?

EDIT - one more question, how's it work through your case and how thick is your case?

Side hold arm works well. Not spring loaded per se . . . i'll try to explain. There is a button on the back that expands the side arms. Once you figure out how wide you need it, it then stays at that width. In other words it does not spring back. There is a bottom lip/edge as well. Not sure on the vertical surface mounting. It came with a vent mount and a suction arm so the suction one might work.

I have the Spiegen Ultra Hybrid case and it works perfectly fine. No issues at all.

Thanks, that is what I thought on the arms, I have studied the car options obsessively for quite some time. I don't think this one will work for me in terms of mounting. I do prefer the pop in and out button of the iOtti vs. pulling it in and out of static arms. I also have avoided the vent mount because I am worried about the A/C in the summer time getting blocked and chilling my phone excessively.

Just looked at the USB Car Charger for the iottie Easy One Touch 4 and it says: Output 5v 1.0A

Do you think if I replace it with a 2.4A it would make a difference? Faster Charging?
I just took a look on iottie's website. Also see that Best Buy is calling what they're selling the "Easy One Touch 4", but it's not.

You need to look at the model number on your unit - if it's HLCRIO125, then it's the One Touch 4 and only does 5W. If it's the HLCRIO134, then it's the Easy One Touch Wireless Fast Charging and should support 7.5W.

Now, that being said, if the 8/8+/X will actually fast charge with it is another story.

If you have the faster charger, then, yes, a 5v 1A USB source won't provide enough juice (that's only 5W). If you get a 2.4A USB port, that will supply 12W - which should be sufficient for a Qi fast charger.

My box from Best Buy says Easy One Touch 4, Qi Wireless Fast Charging Mount. HLCRIO134

Just ordered a Maxboost 24w 2x2.4 car charger. Sent iOttie a message on the car charger a few days ago, and haven't heard back.

Just went to Best Buys site. It lists it as the iOttie Easy Touch 4. and the Model number right under the name is HLCRIO134

It looks like you got the right fast charging unit, but the wrong power plug. This is odd, maybe it was picked over or returned and someone swapped out the charger? Did you get one of those open box discounts that BB offers? You should be more than fine with that Amazon plug, but you really should not have to supplement your $40 purchase because it wasn't packaged right.

On a related note, so I have the fast charging iotti and I also bought the second unit above for car #2. The iotti is diesel when it comes to charging. The gains are measurable on short drives using Maps, music, etc.. The second one is not fast charging and I knew it when I bought it. I was being frugal. My limited experience is shows it keep the battery % flat when using Maps. No complaints, the unit is worth $21 just for the holder, in fact I would get this holder over the iotti only holder. It does stick like a mother f@cker, so I hope I don't end up with a hole in my dash. No protective pad like the iotti. I'm fine with the neutral charging.

+1 on neutral charging. If you have a few wireless chargers (where you spend the most time), you can keep your iPhone from running down, so it'll be pretty easy for it to get back to 100% when you're charging overnight.

Found the charger. When I opened the box in my truck all the parts went flying around. Found this under the sent. The other one was already in the truck from a previous fm transmitter, sitting in the open console. My friend found it and assumed it was the new one. Here is the one I got. 2.4A

Yep, I have wireless chargers coming out my arse lol! I kind of went crazy ordering them while I waited for my X. I think I am up to 8 counting the cars. Nightstand X 2, kitchen, office, work, living room. I have a problem

Went with one of these for car #2.

Very impressed. Comes with the power adapter, a lot of others don’t. Very much like the iotti but only $21. Automatic closing mechanism and charges well. No fast charge but that’s ok.
I just thought I would update on this product above. I ended up returning it and opening up my wallet for another iotti. This one had to many issues charging through certain cases that the iotti did not have an issue with, including an Apple leather case. Although the quality of this budget charging dock was very good, I can't deal with picking my case on whether it would charge or not, or removing the case for the dock. So I spent double the money on the iotti for car #2 and now I have fast charging for both.
