Hello folks,

since already a year I am facing a struggle to get my iPhone camera wireless pop up in FaceTime settings as an option. It works only via USB.

Both devices using same AppleID, they are on the same Network. Other continuity features work without hiccups.

My Mac is mini M4 base model and an iPhone 17. (also had same issue with iPhone 15 Pro and iPhone 16)
I also have Unifi Network gear at home, not sure if this can prevent this feature from proper functioning.

I read all the Apple guides and cannot seem to find a solution.

Does anyone know what the problem might be or how can I fix it?

I'm running into the same problem on my Mac Studio M4. My iPhone 15 Pro Max will only connect as a continuity camera if I connect my iPhone to my Mac via USB-C. Once I do that I can disconnect the USB-C cable and it will continue to work wirelessly, but the initial connect needs to be made over USB-C.

I have no idea how to fix this.
