Yes, PrintBureau prints a screenshot so the quality is not great as I said. Perhaps there is a better way to print that I have not figured out yet. I am using it more as a convenience rather that serious office work. It is worth checking out since it works so well otherwise. Once you establish a connection with a printer there's no hassle. Now that I think of it, one connection was through AirPort then USB to a printer (HP) and the other was through AirPort to a router to an Ethernet connection to the printer (Canon). Local network, not Internet. And no computer involved.

There have been some great options like hacktivator and printopia. Yes you iMac would have to be left on but do you shutdown your comp every night? What's the big deal with having to leave it on? If not PrintBureau sounds like the one.

For as many times as I really need to print from my iPad I'll just wait till Epson or others provide native iOS printing..... HP printers have gone downhill in the past few years.

Do does anyone print on a HP printer WITHOUT using their computer?

I can print to my HP printer using just my iPad. My printer is wireless. On my iPad I use print central nice app and works great for printing. I also use hpiprint it allows me to print photos from my iPad wirelessly.
