Hey all,

I was wondering if someone could tell me when I buy my macbook pro, how i go about setting it up for wireless internet. I am currently using Shaw internet a cable momdem is it possible to still use the wireless internet through a cable modem.:)

thanks in advance:)

If the cable modem has wireless built-in, you should be able to use it fine. Otherwise, you will need a wireless router, either one of Apple's or most any 3rd party model.

I didn't need to set up my wireless, my mac did it all by itself. I just had to say which network to connect to. I am currently using a cable modem, but you are also going to need a wireless router. Other than that, you should be good to go. You can also call apple or the maker of your future router and they will help you with a step-by-step approach to setting everything up
