Yea previous releases I ordered for delivery since those are my best option and fastest way to get em. This time fastest way to get is launch date pick up. I think this is my first launch day ownership for an iphone.

Same here. The outdoor mall where I picked up my iPad Air last year, had a cop sitting out front of the Apple store.

Right. We have the right to walk down the street knowing that the chance of anyone else being armed with a gun is extremely small.

But to each their own.

That's not a right. It's a consequence. And wishful thinking that evil won't find you.

But let's take that somewhere else since this thread is about safety on launch day, shall we? :)

I feel safer already.

Ha ha… Yeah like I said, it'll end up in PRSI if we get too serious with it. But guys, it really is a cultural thing… You grow up in a certain culture and just get used to it, but to someone else looking in, it can look pretty bloody weird! Example: I have a friend from Kenya and when her parents came over to visit, they saw how everyone in suburbia basically keeps to themselves, rather than living in community. They were amazed, and asked 'Who would want to live like this?' Fair question I reckon! But we're just so used to it, we don't even question it.

So really, enjoy your right to bear arms (the 'consequence' of which is that others will be armed too!) if you think it's a legitimate freedom. I'll enjoy knowing that others in my area are unarmed. I'm happy. Are you guys happy? Excellent.

Whether anyone THINKS it's a "legitimate freedom" is irrelevant. It's in our bill of rights, it IS a legitimate freedom.

Be safe fellas...

Not in the slightest. I'm in sayaret matkal. I have access to just about every gun you can think of.

And this is a clear sign that you have no knowledge about how a gun is supposed to be used - and that is dangerous.

Don't believe everything you see in the movies. If it gets to a point where you need to use a gun, you shoot to kill, not disable. Cops don't do that, neither should you.

This is a clear sign you have no knowledge of what you are talking about. Deadly force is a term that does not mean the use of force until it is deadly.

You shoot to stop the threat to your life or others, not kill. Center mass shots are the way police are taught to shoot because it is the biggest area of probable success in "disabling" that threat.

If center mass ends the threat without killing, that's fine. However, it is specifically taught that you don't try to shoot to wound or injure. The two reasons center mass are most likely to "disable" the threat are 1) a higher likelihood of hitting the target and 2) internal organs.
