judging by the iphone 5c, i think everybody can be quite worried about the new iphone:cool:

In my opinion. It seems that apple is very lost at the moment. Like confused on what to do next and they are out of control with product releases and prices and stuff. Kinda happens with greed. The iPhone 4S was the last high quality iPhone but I am feeling that the iPhone 6 won't be as great as the rumors say. It might still have outdated tech on a late 2014 phone. It might have new sensors and other things but the quality and the experience counts more. iOS 7 is great in some ways but it was the most buggiest and slowest OS that apple has released.

What are you doing writing posts? You should be writing books!

There were no official announcements just rumors. None of us know what Apple is releasing so why come to such ridiculous conclusions on a rumor?

You say that the iPhone uses outdated tech which tells me you get conned by spec sheets marketing. Android phone manufacturers have to use specs and skins to differentiate so they push that crap hard. Android's best phones all have supposedly better specs and still doesn't run as smooth as iOS. Why? It's the software optimization. What's the point of having a 20 core CPU phone if it's still laggy?

I can only assume this has to do with the 5C and iPad 4 announcements? IDK...

Yea, and even if it was, so what? we all know those announcements aren't targeting us bleeding edge folks here. Clearly Apple is updating the line up so that everything is on the lightning connector.

I was reluctant to post this in any of the front page comment threads but I'll give it a go here. I don't think the 8GB iPhone 5C was a bad idea. First off, the 5C was a lot more expensive than people hoped and for that reason I think it's acceptable to say it perhaps didn't sell as well as Apple hoped. A new model with a reduced price point would make it more accessible to people who would otherwise buy a cheaper Android phone. Which brings me to the next point. Just looking at local carriers, a lot of the budget smartphones of comparable price come with 8GB of internal storage, so that prospect isn't insane. I'll admit some of these phones have SD card slots (a continued gripe for Apple across the board), and that I'm finding myself itching for more space with 16GB, but I digress. No one complained about the 8GB Nexus 4 last year. Finally, if I look at Android users like my mom, she hates her current phone and would love an iPhone. But truth be told, she doesn't put anything on her phone. She'd easily get by with 8GB. There are people like her out there who buy their phones for price point, so there's certainly some market for this phone. Just not with MR readers.

I was responding to your statements on there only being rumors. The way it was worded made me unclear if you knew what the OP was referring to. I am neither defending nor denyng his statement has merit. I was merely trying to clarify.

Amazing how people made it before cell phones.

Some people died or were unable to get assistance before cell phones where that would not be the case today. The fact that human life existed before cell phones does not prove that they are not useful anymore than human life existing before penicillin proves that antibiotics are not useful.

If the iPhone 5/5S is the worst Apple design ever....then why did 9 million were sold in 3 days of launch?

Sheep?

Because nobody used it yet, duh! It wasn't until I first got my pre-order I soon realized this phone felt very cheap. Not to mention early batches had quality control issues.

You will not convince me black is white. The 5S is a decent phone, do not get me wrong. I just wish it wouldn't have come in the iPhone 5 form factor.

There are still quality control issues.

DOes not matter how everyone feels or wants in the next iPhone. By now it's parts are being made and it is what it is.

You want to protest, just don't buy it. I remember when iPhone 4 forum members were swearing they would never buy an iPhone with a larger screen yet they jumped on the 5/5S!

Just like they will when the larger 6 comes out later this year!:p

What makes you think more people don't die USING a cell phone while driving, what does that do to your statistics? The point is also people made it before cell phones and in many countries still do.

"Driving a vehicle while texting is six times more dangerous than driving while intoxicated according to the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration (NHTSA).1 The federal agency reports that sending or receiving a text takes a driver’s eyes from the road for an average of 4.6 seconds, the equivalent -- when traveling at 55 mph -- of driving the length of an entire football field while blindfolded.2

Texting in cars and trucks causes over 3,000 deaths and 330,000 injuries per year, according to a Harvard Center for Risk Analysis study.

Your opinion does not mean the world. I disagree strongly with you.

With today's announcement...are people losing trust with Apple on the next iPhone?
Some might be but others are not. People aren't all exactly identical.

Amazing how people made it before cell phones.
Not really as people made it before they invented anything. Statement could be used to downplay the significance of just about anything.
