Wives getting Apple Watches first?

I did the ordering, as I'm the one excited about the watch, while my partner is kind of along to keep me company. I ordered two space grey, one 42 and one 38. Unfortunately they both have delivery dates of May 13-27. After trying on the watch, I determined that the 42 is too big for me, but still, if the 42 comes first, I'm using it until the 38 comes -- my partner can just wait!

I wonder if this has more to do with the type of watch husbands have ordered. It seems like they haven't quite processed orders for space gray ones yet. My husband and I have the same thing going on. Mine is preparing for shipment (white sport) and his is still processing (space gray sport). I noticed another thread talking about the space gray sport watches having not been processed yet.

I think you're right. I wondered if I should have ordered my husband's first since it was so popular, but I knew he wouldn't be able to use it right away anyways so I ordered mine first.

Eh, who am I kidding. If he was as excited as me, he could have stayed up to order his first lol.

I've yet to see anyone that ordered a SG and another watch have both gone to preparing to ship even if ordered earlier than others with preparing to ship that just ordered one watch that is SG.

If my wife get her's first then I'll definitely be playing with it. Ha.

I'm convinced Apple is doing this deliberately if a 42mm SG sport and another sport watch was ordered so blame my wife for wanting one too LOL

I ordered my 42mm SS BSB first using ApplePay in AppleStore App and my wife's 38mm SS WSB second on iPad rMini. In all fairness, I tried to order them simultaneously, but ApplePay requested my billing address even though it was already stored, thus re-focusing my attention to typing on my iPhone 6 Plus.

My wife's 38mm SS is 'Preparing for Shipment'. She's very excited about getting it on Friday. This is the most excited I've seen her for any Apple product. We upgrade our phones every year and even the 6 Plus didn't matter as much. Although she feels the 6 Plus is the biggest boost in smart phone usage/productivity since getting her first iPhone 3G.

Someone who deliberately damages an Apple product when they desire a replacement under AC+ is a bigger jerk.

Nearly identical situation here. My wife, Caitlin, is always happy with me getting the new iPhone and iPad every year and giving her my handmedown, but this year she's as excited for  Watch as I am. Her white Sport 38mm has already been charged and preparing for shipment, even though i ordered my space grey 38 before hers. Still no update on mine

Exact same thing for me too, ordered mine first and my wife's order is preparing to ship while mine is still processing, her order changed status about 20hrs ago, looks like only one of us might be smiling on Friday lol

There are members of questionable character who deliberately damage their iDevices so they can swap them out right before they sell it in order to get the highest resale price.

I've never done it, but I would if my watch was in bad enough shape. It would be stupid of me to keep a banged up watch or any other iDevice when I have AC+.

No Macrumors Apple crusader can change my mind.

38mm Sport Silver/White (24/4-8/5)
42mm Sport Grey/Black (12/5-26/5)

Hers just went to preparing for shipment,..

Thanks. Your the other person I've noticed that ordered a 42mm SG Sport and another watch and have both perparing to ship. I was beginning to believe that if you order a 42mm SG Sport and another watch that Apple may be delaying the shipping of one because other people that just ordered a 42mm SG Sport by itself at a later time have gotten shipping notifications .

My wife 38mm SS with white sport band, will be here before my 42mm SS with black sport band. She is really exited, I am glad hers is coming before mine. I was hoping it would, because I wanted it to be a surprised. She doesn't know that I bought it for her. Because I told her I wasn't going to get any of the AW's when they came out.
