No, not the World, but the U.S. for sure.

Someone like this is needed, to lessen the burden of their feckless existence. :p

i mean, it's one of those things. like some people just couldn't understand why someone would be into certain fetishes, or really love mcdonald's, or join the military, or believe in a certain religion.

when you think of it that way, it's kind of more acceptable.

but then you realize she's literally eating herself to death, on purpose. and that ****'s just stupid.

Ok, but now you are getting into the area of personal choice.

IMO, Society has entirely too much to say about the direction that some people wish to take their lives.

One could argue that she is fed-up with the way things are currently presented to her, and has chosen the "comfort" way out.

Discuss. ;)

yes yes, you're right. i suppose it's similar to substance abuse, self-harm, or just any kind of suicidal behaviour in general. she has to know that this will probably end up killing her. and personally, i can sympathize with people with self-destructive habits (or hobbies, addictions, whatever).

there are definitely several ways of looking at it. in my mind it just comes down to: where should the line be drawn between letting people live their lives, and not watching people kill themselves.

there's also probably a lot about this story that we don't know, like what her actual life is like.

Have you seen the food he prepares ? That stuff looks awesome and I'm sure it tastes awesome. He does a grilled chicken with BBQ sauce that just looks like it melts in your mouth. Yet he's perfectly normal sized.

The math is easy.
# of calories in minus # of calories used to live = zero.
Everything else is waste... or fat.
I eat what I want including things I probably shouldn't, but never exceed what my body needs. I'm 6'7" and 210 and have been for 40 years.

I call it "the shiny penny" syndrome. Being misdirected away from our real problems is easy to do... and it started when the major news divisions started answering to their respective entertainment divisions. True story. CBS was first, Fox made it SOP.

How has it come to this..?

20 years ago, these incredibly morbidly-obese types were not around. Now there are super-morbidly obese children as well as adults.

If you're an average height man-- even at 6', and not an athlete, shouldn't you be somewhat concerned when you're over 300 pounds? So to reach 400, 500 pounds, and more...? And to be rendered so heavy they're immobile? I watched "Biggest Loser" once, and one of the contestants was shown in her home community, and all around her were overweight people; men, women, children. They weren't hugely obese-- but they were all overweight, to some capacity. That's chilling to me. And I don't mean that at all in a superficial manner, but just health-wise. It's beyond an epidemic when people have to reach 400-500 pounds and can't even stand up before they realize they may have a weight issue and that they need to lose weight.

I don't expect all women to be 5'11 and a size 2, or all men to be 6'1" and cut, but it's profoundly disturbing to see people so grossly overweight, negligent or ignorant of their health issues. These people are bigger than Jabba the Hutt. And to celebrate it? Oh jeez...

You think there were no extremely fat people in the 90s?

Sadly, all this attention is probably only encouraging the destructive behavior. Whatever happens, think pretty clear end result won't be pretty.

I was at a football game and this huge woman must have made 10 trips to the snack bar with her pretty darn fat daughter. I'm sure she was making her daughter fat so people would think it was hereditary and not her fault.

My drunken friend yelled at her that she was endangering her child and a couple of others chimed in. The mother pretended not to hear, but the daughter did look over. They didn't make another trek up the stairs again. Probably went around to another snack bar.

She had to have spent $50 on food.

she stopped eating to gain weight. Instead she's now looking for a therapist. Or is there something wrong with that to? Watch The Human Centipede. This fait divers is like a 8+ rated review of that movie.

Recent articles in the Huffington Post and elsewhere corroborate your story; she is indeed losing some of the weight that made her famous. This development was a direct effect of the end of her relationship with her now-ex-fiance; she now has to raise her children by herself, and didn't want to give them the burden of caring for her.

There's nothing wrong with getting a therapist in this case, either. She said in that article that she realized that the relationship was based mostly on the feeder fetish aspect. As I said earlier in the thread, there are definitely control issues in feeder/feedee relationships, and she apparently wants to tackle those before getting into another relationship.
