Alright. Honestly if you need to take drugs to have fun at an event like this. Then you have no passion for the music. I've been to about 5 dance massives completely sober an had a blast a each one.

OK- I know not everyone does, but I've been to plenty of things like this. You can't deny that ecstasy and K are used a lot at these events. For many people, it's the whole point.

Just not my thing I guess. IMO, it's all pointless. You go in a dark room at night with loud music blazing everywhere and lights that flash in weird ways so you can't see properly, then you have drinks which screw with your head (at the very least) and you wake up the next morning with a headache and sometimes not even knowing where you are... Not my definition of fun at all, the whole concept and why people actually enjoy it confuses me.

But, hey, each to their own I guess.

I am not a rave lover but I respect peoples decision of fun, If thats what you like (or don't) than fine but don't try to make sense out of something you don't have the knowledge of and only have probably sean in TV

Hey, I'm not trying to start a argument here, as I said in the post you quoted "each to their own", if that's the kind of thing you like then fine, but I was merely stating my opinion on the subject.

Rave is SO over. It should have died in the early 90's. The only way to have any sort of fun at these things is to do drugs like Ecstasy and K- both extremely boring. I lost one of my roommates to this BS. He can no longer speak properly and is a complete mess. I broke up with a boyfriend over this too. I am no fan of rave culture at all. Rave is over 20 years old. When is something new going to happen?

I agree with this guy, the fact that it still exist baffles me. I am more of the House party kind of guy.

Just wondering how many of you guys would actually be into events like this:
Nocturnal Festival If no, give your reasons why. I love to hear opinions... most of the time.:D
Note: Not trying to advertise.

I cant answer your poll, simply because wen you ask if I wood go to these events in which are raves that I don't visit, and my other option is "Electronic Music ba! humbug". Well to be honest with you electronic music is so vast in Genre that not all electronic music is plaid on these events. So in conclusion if I like electronic music and don't like raves then which one is my answer

Sorry if it felt like i was pushing a button on you, it was not my intent. I was just trying to say if you haven't tried swordfish then why say all these things about it without even trying it. If thats not the case than fine I will respect your comment.

As I also stated in a previous post in this thread, I have been to nightclubs before and I hated them.

I did not se post #17, Sorry about that  know I look like an idiot

Hey it's fine, speed reading leads to fail sometimes :D

(and typing "reading" into my iPhone causes the "r" to become capital for no reason... well done, Apple)

I'd definitely go. It looks kind of cool. I'm not too sure I'd stay the whole time, but it looks like it'd be a lot of fun for a while at least!

Probably lots of good looking people, too ;)

Yeah. But I'm ok with people taking drugs at these events. But half of the people that DO decide to get high. Are either the scene kids [who can't control their dosages and half of the time end up being taken to the hospital] or the old school ravers [that know their limits on drugs.]

Ah. Oops. I guess I never thought of that option. I'd edit the poll. But I don't know how to. -_-

That's a great line-up, I'd love to go for the music..

..but I am very sick of big music events themselves. "Sorry, you can't walk this way. Walk that way. Sorry, we need to search you/your bag. No, you can't bring that bag in here. No, of course you can't bring your own drink, but you can queue for ages for a a massively overpriced, lukewarm drink (not the drink you like, we don't have that..) in a plastic glass. No, you can't bring food with you. But if you'd like a artery clogging burger, we have several vendors. No, you can't bring a bottle of water with you, but you can buy a bottle of water for 10 euros inside. etc...etc.."

Suddenly, buying the music online, and listening at home with a hot/cold drink and food of your choice; while saving yourself a lot of money, seems much the better option. :(

I suppose. Sorry, this scene just brings back a lot of bad memories for me.

It looks like a rave. Actually, my cousin used to go a lot and he spun at them from time to time. It's nocturnal wonderland isn't it? One of the largest raves ever.

Yep. Although they changed the title to Nocturnal Festival thanks to copyright infringement. It's not really a rave.. but like half of the people take it as a rave.

Then it's a rave. ;)

It's alright. The scene does give people some bad memories. Like at the Electric Daisy Carnival, I saw a few riots and this girl that overdosed that was just lying on the ground, convulsing with security around her and paramedics all rushing toward her. All these events always have something go wrong and can leave a dreadful scar to the mind.
