*drools at the thought of Qdoba* Hmm maybe I need a road trip there too! That mall has long been one of my favorite places on the planet. Good luck, Cindy!

Tell them you enjoy using MacJanitor. And other great programs that I have linked to in my signature. :)

I had on my resume, that I have been a Mac fanatic since child birth and since i was 14, have been repairing broken Macs for as a hobby. Ends up I had a phone interview today. :D Said they'd call me back in July when they are in the hiring process for their new store.

Just tell them your experiences and let them know you are VERY interested in working for Apple. Worked for me!

good work! lucky guy!

oh so if i got a job there i would have to be very careful about posting. does anyone know why they don't want employees posting?
If you get a job there, you should have your account here (and any accounts at other rumor sites) closed.

It would not be smart to violate the NDA and risk your job. Apple reportedly puts a good effort into tracking down posts by employees at non-sanctioned sites, even though Apple rarely tells retail store employees any inside information.

I applied for a Job as a Mac Genius at the Cube today. Wish me luck. I'm only 16 and it's worth the try as the application process online is only 2 minutes unlike some other stores online.

Absolutely. Many companies routinely fire people for violating any sort of NDA, or even just for posting information about the company on a blog. There was a really high profile case with a guy who got fired from Google for posting about their campus on his blog. I signed something similar when I joined a financial services firm. Doesn't matter if you're discussing confidential information or not...a lot of companies are very careful about how their employees express a corporate image in a public forum.

5 bucks says Apple won't hire you. Seriously, if you want to work as an Apple Genius, call around and see if a local computer repair place wants an intern or part time help, then try again at 18...I would be shocked if Apple hired someone under 18, especially for something technical and customer-service oriented like Genius Bar. I don't know for sure, obviously, but given the way most retailers operate it would make sense they'd want someone over 18.

Well, all we have to do is use a database query to correlate the day everyone posted here saying that they applied to the apple store, to the store employee application records at the store they said they applied to and the date, and then we know who to not hire.

Bummer.
