Sorry to break someones bubble, but $8 is not a living wage in Northern Virginia, perhaps other parts of the country, if one is careful, but not there.

I don't think it's too much of a living wage in other parts of the country.
For a student, and certainly for a student living at home, it is still fairly good pay though....

8 opens the posibility to not have to work 40 hours a week, and still be able to move out of the parents home while taking classes.

So 8 is awesome! You still have to work alot if your school does'nt offer dorms, but its almost $3 more an hour than minumum wage!
