Apologies if this was covered but my search turned up nothing. I plan to hit the gym after work tomorrow and am still awaiting my sport band.

Does anyone have any experience / insight on sweat potentially corroding or gunking up the Milanese loop band? Should I hold I off on using it there until I get my sport band (in "May")?

Thanks

Edit: failing the above, anyone know if there are sport bands in stock in retail stores? I'd have a bit of a drive but it's better than waiting.

I wouldn't worry about it. I, too, have a sport band on order but am just going to use the ML band until it comes in. If it does get gunked up I'll just clean it.

It's stainless steel, will not corrode from sweat. You will just have to wash the band from time to time in some soap water

I used it at the gym, and sweated all over it at Busch Gardens today. Seems fine. :)

Thank you all, I'll give it a go tomorrow!

And activate good luck that still scares me a lot haha

The breathability of the Milanese Loop band is one of its big attractions, IMHO.

It won't corrode-- it's stainless steel. If it gunks up, just rinse it off.

Sweat away! It's an awesome choice for active folks. I used to have something similar years ago, and I still miss that band.

I walked for about 45 min in hot FL weather (90s). Was definitely sweating. My watch did fine but when my white sport band comes that will be my workout band. Not because the Milanese was uncomfortable but it was a little weird working out in what looks like a dressy watch.
