Same here. The ability to import from Final surge and training peaks would be wonderful along with the Always on DisplayI personally would love the workout import features and have no use for nested repeats.
Please check that you have given the app permission to use the pedometer. To do this go to the Settings app on the iPhone and tap Privacy and then Motion & Fitness, then make sure Fitness Tracking is enabled and so is WorkOutDoors. Then go to the Watch app on the iPhone and select Privacy and ensure that Fitness Tracking is enabled there.Hey all
This might have been covered in one of the over 200 pages but does anyone else have issues getting any of the Pace metrics to display?
The image below is using Pace (Pedometer) but I have the same issue with Pace (Current), Sensor Pace (Current). All just show blank.
Things like Rolling Pace seem to work fine.
I have zero issues getting current pace data from Apple’s own workout app and in Strava.
Currently using an Apple Watch Series 7 and

That should fix the problem for future workouts.
I plan to revisit the sensor functionality at some time but other features are currently higher priority.Hey Ian,
I absolutely love the app, incredible work! Any chance you may be considering integration of the depth / water temperature sensors on the Apple Watch Ultra? I'd love to see that data for my swim workouts.
How do you create your GPX files? I have limited experience and have used AllTrails before and just yesterday tried Footpath, which is a 7 day trial. It worked well but I’m not planning to pay for the service since I don’t use it often enough. I’d love to find a free way to create run routes for free and export them as GPX Tracks.
I'm fairly certain that Strava calculates PRs from any section of an activity as long as you don't pause in the middle of that 5km max effort (it uses total elapsed time to ensure you aren't faking the PR by just pausing every 100m and recovering). I have several PRs that are from the middle of longer runs.Odd query...
Scenario:
Set an open workout (run) on my watch, warm up for 15 minutes and then run a 5k at max effort, cool down and then save the workout.
If I set a PR for that 5k, would it log as such with a FIT export to Strava? Or does Strava compute PR's from the start of a workout only? i.e. can't set a PR for 5k in the middle of a 15k workout as example?
Thanks!
I personally will prefer the intervals.icu first as it offers a very good free tier and they seem very open to help new apps to integrateSame here. The ability to import from Final surge and training peaks would be wonderful along with the Always on Display
Those log messages are not available yet in the current version of WorkOutDoors, right? That won't be visible in the workout summary (which has been almost completely rewritten), but I have added a couple of log messages, which can be viewed in the last tab of a workout in the iPhone app. The first shows the battery level at the start or the workout and the second one shows it at the end of the workout, as well as an indication of the amount used per hour.

No, they will be in the next version. They were mainly for me to keep an eye on battery usage with the always on display, but I figured I'd leave them in.Those log messages are not available yet in the current version of WorkOutDoors, right?
We should find out at WWDC in early June.I'm curious what new feature Apple will add to the running app in watchOS 10?
Maybe the maps will be added and the possibility to load routes?

The app only supports Stryd for running at the moment. To be honest it didn't occur to me that people would use it for walking, but I can see now that it would be useful on a treadmill. I will add it for walking when I next revisit the sensor functionality, but that may not be for a while. Sorry.Hey guys, I'm just wondering if the Stryd footpod can be enabled for power/ pace/ cadence etc on an indoor walk/ treadmill?
I often use a treadmill for walking and I find the stryd is a) more accurate than the treadmill and b) allows me to set an accurate pace between different treadmills.

Yeah those features you miss, are much more important than AOD for me, too.Today I ran a trail with many up and down and many vertical meters and I noticed what I miss most at WOD and what annoys me the most. On trails with many meters of altitude, I used to be used to my sports watch that I can see when the next climb comes, how many meters of altitude I still have to walk and when I'll be back.
But with workoutdoors I don't have any of this information. Well, I can use hundreds of sports, display countless data that brings me absolutely nothing and that doesn't interest me either.
That's why I miss my Garmin Fenix 3. Yes, correctly read a Fenix 3 from 2015. It was able to deliver exactly these important functions for trail runners. Today, this is standard for all sports watches.
I am always surprised that all the hikers who use the WOD do not miss it.
I always wanted an Apple Watch because I always thought WOD was cool and when the AWU came out I switched from Garmin. Only after the first runs did I realize what was missing.
Well, the functions are planned but only when? AOD will be available at some point by summer and hopefully there will also be the navigation functions by the end of the year.
But I believe that Apple will pull out exactly these functions at WWDC and then the Apple running app would also be interesting.
In 1 week I will run a 58 KM Ultra, of course with the AWU. But it's only there to record the run and show me the pulse. For the rest, the navigation, the elevation profile, the remaining altitude, the planned target time, I have to try my 8-year-old Garmin Fenix 3. It's a bit sad.
I know that's whining and WOD is basically a hammer app but today the missing functions really annoyed and annoyed me.
Just my 2 cents

This will be fixed in the next version, but I do have a "bug fix" beta with that fixed that you could try now? If you are interested then email info@workoutdoors.netHi..WOD is a great app that I find brings my Ultra usage to another level and I truly aporeciate the work.
Just a wondering how long would it take for update to fix the step count issue when WOD uploads to Strava. I am currently left with using apple native for walks as the step counts are x2 the actual value. Would love to use WOD app for all my workouts instead of bouncing between WOD and apple native.
Is it possible to release a quick for for this?
To be honest the navigation features are much more interesting for me too, both in terms of using them and also in terms of coding them. The AOD version has been extremely frustrating to code because I have had to rewrite large parts of the app which were already working fine, but which had to be rewritten because Apple didn't make AOD easily available to older apps.Yes of course. AOD isn‘t interesting or necessary for long hikes or trailruns.

Actually AOD is a huge battery hog so thanks but no thanks!Yes of course. AOD isn‘t interesting or necessary for long hikes or trailruns.
