I don't know about you, but if I knew my folding phone was breaking every 2 years, why would I continue to buy one from the same manufacturer?

There's still a lot of people out there that buy the high end model and change it every year or two.
Those people don't care whether or not it'll last 5 more years after it leaves their hands, or 5 more weeks.

I'm more fascinated about with where I keep putting my phone at home than I am about how thin it could be. Kids.

Often users do not want dramatic changes. E.g. photogs mostly hate it when Nikon moves around the controls on new models. I feel the same way about my phone as about my Nikons: do not change things unless you have a damn good reason. Boring is good.

Internet wags always want cutesey new changes but y'all are in the minority.
Yes we must be the minority based on all the posts I see here people saying it's the same phone and they skip the release. Boring is not good, that's just your opinion and that is okay but doesn't make it the majority.

And that, EU, is why you don't do stupid things like mandating what charging ports devices use.
I would rather having a thicker foldable using usb c than one that uses a proprietary cable. The usb c mandate is a good thing for me.
