I've got three songs that I totally despise.

I Will Always Love You by Whitney Houston, (Everything I Do) I Do It For You by Bryan Adams and Love Is All Around by Wet Wet Wet were number 1 in the UK charts for a combined total of around 130 years in the early nineties.

I once went to a wedding where the DJ played all three of them one after the other. It's probably the nearest I've ever come to topping myself.

Oh, that Whitney version is just awful. Made worse by my liking the Dolly Parton original quite a lot. It's amazing how someone can ruin a song so badly just by covering it.

Worst song on my iTunes - The Dark is Rising by Mercury Rev. It just sounds so bad, like their other songs on that album are melodic, beautiful. That track is just an actual pain on the ears.

Do you mean technically? I hope so because I love that song. Great memories of living in Budapest drinking Dreher in beautiful plazas. Ah ... :) anyway .. I had a small pair of Missions .. forget the model .. bloody good though except for what Im about to relate ... on that track when the orchestral cymbals crash it was terrible it was like the audio spectrum had split in two ... there was the "track" somewhat distant and dull and then these really harsh disembodied cymbals piercing and fizzing. Later I got a pair of Monitor Audio 352's and now the track is entirely cohesive. Could be your gear or if you're iPoding it .. could it be a poor bitrate capture or bad phones?
