Worst thing that I witnessed was some crazy racist motorist kicking the side of a car because he couldn't cut in front of it and jump the traffic lights.

I say worst because the family inside seemed pretty shaken up. The police got involved and I gave a witness statement. I got a letter before Christmas saying that he was going to court. Hopefully they throw the book at him.

No, he was kicking the car because he wasn't given way. This also makes him crazy for overreacting so much. It's a pretty rough area, I've heard a few unpleasent stories about that particular intersection.

Shouting racist abuse makes him a racist.
 
I was curious, if you assumed he was racist because you're Japanese or if he actually said racist things.

My car (which by the way is uninsured for THEFT) was stolen in downtown Chicago along with my also uninsured camera gear in the back, a $800 DSLR body, two $500 lenses, an external hard drive, a flash, and the $70 Pelican case it was in. Never got any of it back.
 
That sucks, but if losing material items is the worse thing that's ever happened to you, consider yourself lucky.

It's all good, I have no problem talking about it. :)

Honestly, i had a hydrocele first a year before from football, which I think the surgeon did not completely anchor that area like they are supposed to.

As for the Torsion, it happened out of nowhere I think. The only thing I did that day was get in/out of my truck which was lifted at the time.
 
Seen several of my friends die from drug overdose/misuse, another friend jumped off a bridge (although I never saw that) and I once saw a guy force open the door of a moving train and jump out, to be hit buy another train going the opposite direction.

Same thing happened to me, and it is disgusting as hell, wouldn't call it the worst thing i experienced but it definitely was one of them.

Worst thing I've ever had done to me is having a good friend of mine sleep with my girlfriend, and pretty much catch them doing it. Totally, totally unexpected. I loved them both, and we'd all been really close.

That's probably the worst feeling of pain, betrayal, and anger I've ever felt in my whole life. It's definitely the first time I've experienced that physical pain that comes from the worst emotional blows. I actually felt like everything around me suddenly went into slow motion. Anyway. I'm not sure I've ever totally recovered from that, I am constantly having to make sure that experience doesn't affect my relationships since.

Let's just say they're lucky I wasn't armed.

Gruesome-wise, I was nibbled by a shark while surfing in Australia. I still have a smallish scar on my arm from it, though it's mostly faded now and hard to see. Nothing like feeling a weird pinch and then seeing a little fin and your own blood in the water. I'm pretty sure I swam faster than Michael Phelps back to shore.

A few years back I saw a college kid get run over by a public transit bus near my flat... Not a pretty thing to see. It took me some time to get that image out of my head. :(
 
Mine is mild compared to most of these but here it goes.

I was with one of my girlfriends when her boyfriend started hitting her. We called the cops and they showed up and when the cops started arresting the boyfriend my girlfriend who is pretty big pulled a gun out from under her left boob and started shooting the cops. She just had the gun stuck between her boob and her stomach. Anyways she shot 2 cops and they bled on the floor a little bit.

The worst thing that happened to me was my vasectomy operation - one side went fine, but by the time they came to snip the second tube the anaesthetic had begun to wear off. I realised I'd got feeling back and asked the doctor "Should I be able to feel anything".

He just said "No" and snipped away anyway. I've never felt pain like it in my life and was trying to climb off the table while a couple of nurses pinned me down and the docs pumped syringe after syringe of anaesthetic into me so they could finish the op!

They eventually got finished and the doctor came up with the helpful advice that certain anaesthetics are ineffective on some people and I was just one of the unlucky ones!

Unfortunately, my problems were only just beginning: Three days after the op, the stitches on one side burst open and I ended up with an infection and a hemotoma that was bigger than my testicles. In all, I was off work for 3 months and had it was another 3 before I could wear anything except jog pants.

Don't let anyone tell you a vasectomy is a minor op!

if this is mild to you, what do you consider hardcore or extreme? :confused:
