not REALLY a lot of UI lag to be very very very honest with you.
if you want butter butter smooth, then you'll experience it in rMBP, just not "CONSTANTLY"....

not REALLY a lot of UI lag to be very very very honest with you.
if you want butter butter smooth, then you'll experience it in rMBP, just not "CONSTANTLY"....
The lag usually appears when you browse a website with two sidebars of ads or dynamic contents on both sides and you zoom in a bit to only show the center part of content. Without zooming in the lag is not obvious. That is not only sub-30fps, I can actually count on the frames per second myself without using any apps.
But this is a minor concern for me and it doesn't happen usually, unless in specific pages of specific websites (some are more serious than facebook).
And this is probably a software glitch because my retina iPad is butter smooth on the same page and it only has a much less powerful ARM CPU/GPU SoC.
OK, I think the lag issue is better.
I'm now looking at some new gear, a external HDD and a case.
Any reviews on the WaterField sleeve, will it provide enough protection? For just the basic horizontal sleeve with no add ons will cost me $70 AUD odd with postage.
Also for the HDD, I have been looking at the Western Digital Elements 1TB USB 3.0. Any ideas/reviews about this or any other HDD? I can get that one for $120 AUD then format it for Mac?
