If your 6+ is doing fine for your needs (not what others project on the internet for their needs) - then I wouldn't recommend buying any new phone until your 6+ fails to do so. If it just needs a consumable replaced, such as a battery, that is still cheaper than buying an entirely brand new phone. A new phone costs the full ride regardless of whether you have the 6+ today or in a year or two, there is not "upgrade" pricing on hardware. So it would be wise to squeeze as much utility out of the phone you have for as long as possible, than buy a new one.

Most are upgrading because of want more than need. If you lived with a 6 last year you'll live with it this year

My 6+ is still good, I could have kept it another year probably...but my son has a 5S that I wanted to replace and I'm not buying him a brand new phone.

But tbh, I just wanted the 7+ and I'm using my son as an excuse!

I got a company discount for 7+/256G for $299 so selling 6+/128G should more than enough to pay for it. Would imagine 6+ would be close to offsetting a 7+ even at regular price if its in good condition.

I don't know about you, but my 6+ has slowed down and the battery has gone to hell. Also, some weird gremlins have surfaced. I expect it to only get worse with ios10. If my 6+ was still running like the day I got it, I probably would have waited, but speed and battery alone were enough to push me over the edge.
This is exactly why I'm upgrading, my phone jumps from 35% to dead in about 2 minutes then i plug it in and when it comes back on i randomly have like 55%.

Plus my touch screen going out and i don't feel like getting that fixed right now if i can just upgrade, too much reloading stuff to be doing all of that!

One of the reasons having a kid pays off! hahaha

I do the same thing, I get a new phone every year and my old phone goes down the line.

I am sure that this has been discussed before but couldn't find a thread. For those of you that switched from a 6+ to 7+, are you happy? Are the differences worth the swap?

Thanks for the feedback!
