Would we get 4k recording with iPhone 6?

don't think so, the amount of data needed to be written and the size of 4K, I do not believe the phone is ready for 4K yet.

I have a Gopro camera, which does 4K, but only at 30 fps, I think we all need tech that can do 60 fps before it's a "every day" recording thing.

I thought 2k is 2560x1440?

There are seven different resolutions that all fall under 2k, 7-8 that fall under 4k and two for 8k.

Which is part of why I don't see Apple worrying about that spec wank right now. They like to wait for the dust to settle before they jump in. Get 4k down to two options and they might pick a side. Especially if it comes down the way that 8k currently has which is one spec for TVs and one for full sized theatres.
